I've been looking for tough all-season hiking pants to wear while walking my dog through fields and forests, and these certainly fit the bill. They've already survived hard falls on ice, snow and gravel, and torrential rain, all without a scratch or snag, and they stayed completely dry. At 5'4", 105 lbs, the smallest size fits me loosely, so I would love one size smaller. But I can see why some clients feel the waist is too low. My butt is nonexistent, so very low-waist pants are great (and rare!), but more generously-proportioned ladies might feel otherwise. Unlike other reviewers, I have no problem with the inside of pockets being white; I don't really understand how they would ever be visible. I'd love if UA could make these in a lighter fabric for wearing in warmer weather.
I am an EMT and firefighter and I have bought other brands of tactical pants and these blow them out of the water. They are very comfortable and have enough pockets for all your needs. The only complaint I have is that they are on the smaller side so don't be afraid to size up, and they are a little too long. I usually am a size 4 and the 4 was snug on the hips and waist, and I am 5' and they drag even when I have boots on, making different lengths would be perfect. Overall I would recommend these pants to every woman needing tactical pants!
I love how low rise these are. That fit just works best for me. These pants are slightly tighter around the butt and hips and then flares out around the calf. I wish it did not flare out so much as it is kind of baggy around my calf but I can deal. The material is amazing and I can do whatever I need to do on the job (run, jump, squat, sit for long hours). So my only complaint is the flare around the calf.. I would prefer a smaller flare/kick. Otherwise, great work pants that I even wear when I go fishing/camping. I am 5'7'' with an athletic slim build and I purchased a size 8.. they are a little loose around the hips but I think a 6 would have been too tight to work in because I like the ability to move freely. I will probably purchase a marine green pair soon.
I work in EMS and fell in love with the old style tactical pants a few years ago. What I loved most about them was the fact that the legs were not huge at the bottom! This new style has changed and I feel like I'm swimming in material on my legs while the hips and waist are tight. The material seems to be a little thicker as well and a bit harder to move in than before. Don't get me wrong - these pants blow other traditional tactical/EMS pants away in terms of fit and comfort. But the changes that were made from the old style have made them LESS comfortable and flattering than they were. I am 5'0", 110lbs, and I had to go up to a size 6 in these just to get a comfortable fit. I am normally a comfortable size 2 and that's the size I still wear in the old style of these pants. I only have two pair of the old style left and I'm hoarding them because we can't get them anymore. Please, UNDER ARMOUR, consider bringing back the old style! As much as everyone loves this new tactical pant, I think you would see sales soar even higher with the old fit!
I'm 5'8 165 lbs and I'm pear shaped so I carry my weight in hips, butt and thighs. I am a reliable size 12 and ordered these in a size 12. They fit though a little snug for me in the thigh. Sturdy material and I like the cargo pocket. They would have been perfect except for one fatal flaw. The pants are low rise which gave me horrible muffin top. If they would have sat just a little higher, even just below natural waist would have been perfect. Sizing up would have been too big. Also, I bought these for hiking and who wants a low rise for hiking? Even without muffin top, with the low rise, sitting and climbing would cause the pants to show my underwear.
