I loved the intensity ii so when it was upgrade time i went with the upgraded version big mistake. While under warenty the phone desided it wouldnt turn on one day. So i thought no big deal it is a warrenty repair whatever. Then today my replacement phone from the warrenty went completely nuts. When punching any key whether on key pad or key board have no clue what the phone will register left click might be ok, call might be switch to different contact and call, m might be 0. Also when not touching the phone at all its going crazy like it keeps saying that there is no destination or that pressing the volume keys doesnt control font even though nobody is near the phone much less touching buttons and this is after a complete software restore. really angry had a horrible experience

I have used this phone for about a year now, and it has worked well for the most part. The slide out keyboard is fantastic for texting, and also for finding a song in my extensive library of songs. The camera is what it is. The photos come out decent, but not great. What do you expect for a 1 MP camera? The music organization works great once you add a micro SD card for storage. The only downside to this phone is that the battery drains quickly. When you have made 2 or 3 calls that last for 15 minutes, or used the music player for half an hour, the battery is significantly depleted. I find that even with moderate use, I am charging the battery every 2-3 days. Other than that slight annoyance, I haven't been able to find another phone that works this well without a data plan from the carrier.

Sure this phone is a basic text phone but is terrible during group messages. You have to download each message and when you try and respond it sends individual messages to the people in the group message

If your looking for a basic phone that just does calls and texts and is very rugged then this is the one for you. Very durable phone.

I bought this phone when my Samsung Convoy 1 died during a Verizon system upgrade. I was less than one year old. Verizon told me that if I drove to their non-franchise store (100 miles round trip) that they would give me a special deal on a replacement phone. Apart from smart phones this Intensity was the only available phone. The reception on this phone, compared to the Convoy is extremely poor. I can call only from one location in my house. The sound quality is poor. Voice mails are received without the phone ever ringing. I have owned this phone for a year. Thankfully the software did not fail during upgrades, as did the Convoy. And it has not broken or wore out. I am looking to buy another phone from a different manufacturer.
