VersaRamp Lightweight Foam Threshold Ramp for Wheelchairs, 1.5 Inch Rise, Gray

Put the ramp at our front door, took my power chair down the driveway and was quite happy to see the sides of our home for the first time! In March we moved across town to a home that had no ramps. The VersaRamp weighs less an average size big mouth bass. You just drop them in place and you're ready to roll. If you use a scooter or power chair you need to get used to moving slow on the ramp so your tires don't slip. Took me two trips to learn to let the machine pull me up rather using the gun-it and tail-spin method. Wow! I can check the mail and, if need to, outrun my wife down Applewood Way. Also have a secure feeling when going down the ramp using my walker. These ramps cost less than half of other bulky and much heaver ramps. I'd recommend these ramps to my gimpy friends. This is used for a step into our Condo's breezeway. It's light weight and easy to bring in and out. I thought I would have to have concrete work done and this was faster and very affordable. This ramp is fantastic for moving my wheelchair father from the garage to a landing and moving it to move from the landing into the kitchen. The fact that it is light weight and modest in size means that you can pick it up to move the wheel chair quickly through several one step levels.

After reading other reviews and searching ramp styles on many sites, I chose this particular one. It is for my husband who can walk with a walker, but with much assistance following a stroke, but also uses a wheelchair. It is perfect for the 5" rise and 36" width of the door. I love that it is so lightweight that it can very easily be moved, but I haven't had to move it, but once. The traction seems to be good. It looks nice also. It was needed for the step in the garage into the laundry room, so will be used inside. I have pushed him up in a manual wheelchair.. he's about 6' 190# and i took a heavy power chair up that we were just given and it stayed in place and i didn't notice any buckling etc. I'm very happy with it and it came in a timely manner. If there is a negative, it might be there are no raised sides but it is plenty wide. I recommend

I am very pleased with the ramp. My sister visited from CA and had experienced other ramps and said it was a really nice ramp. She felt safe that it was wide enough not to be concerned with getting to close to edge. It is light and easily moved from 1 threshold to another. I would recommend this product.
