Just as good as the other topical flea medicines at about half the price.
Same active ingredients as big brand name for way less cost
I tried this on my dog, long haired dachshund mix, which stays inside the house 85-90% of the time and I purchased the size appropriate for the dog (up to 35 lbs, she weighs around 20). It is supposed to be a 4 month supply but I ended up using the whole box in a month and it DID NOT do anything for her. I got more fleas off the dog by bathing her with Dawn dish soap than using VetGuard. We also treated our yard with insecticide granules we purchased from Wal-Mart and obviously this did not help either.
Did not work at all for my 4 dogs.
My 60 pound Lab/ Shiba Inu mix is a rescue dog and when we adopted him I was told he had a virus that affected his skin. It makes it really sensitive so I have to be careful what kind of shampoos and products I use on him. I wanted him to be protected from fleas but didn't want to risk him having an allergic reaction. I tried Vet Guard plus because I saw a review online that someone used it on their medium sized dog that had skin issues. I read the directions, applied a tiny test amount first and left it for an hour to make sure that he wasn't reactive to it. He was just fine! Thanks VetIQ!
