[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Vital Proteins Skin Complex powder for a couple of months and I'm not sure of the effectiveness of it. The ingredients seemed standard for this kind of product but I wonder if I didn't use it enough to see a big change. The powder was too thick for my liking and had an odd smell & taste. I am also highly sensitive to these things, so please keep that in mind. I only ever tried it mixed in with coffee. I am not sure I would recommend this product.

So - I switched to this from the marine collagen, because whatever the reason I originally had for that, it kept my hair from shedding - something I realized when I quit taking it. So when I saw this, I figured - better to just switch to this. I won't stop taking it just to realize it does work - because I imagine it does based on me not finding extra hair in the shower recently - hah. I can't say it's magical - but it's helpful, so for now, it stays in my routine. Vital Proteins: it's incredibly annoying to not be able to find one sincere review of your product - zero reviews is better than stupid paid-for reviews. Scrolling through that actually made me consider canceling my subscription - it inspires zero confidence in your brand.

Just purchased this yesterday to try and get some much needed vitamins into my diet, specifically for my hair. I have been on Weight loss journey for almost a year now, and although i have lost 55 pounds, my hair and skin have suffered. I woke this morning excited to start this into my daily routine only to find the "tasteless" powder taste awful (like cat pee smells is the only way to describe it). I could not finish it and had to dump it out as it made me throw up a little in my mouth. I did mix it in water, so tomorrow i will try it in Juice of some sort. I hope it is more manageable, otherwise i wasted my money.

I love that it's unflavored, been adding into my morning smoothies. I feel like I've noticed new growth. Will continue using for another month to see its effectiveness!

I'm not a big supplement in my drinks to begin with and one taste of each was more than enough for me to stop drinking. I was looking forward to trying it to see how it worked but couldn't get past the taste.
