the TV I bought was Cnet's TV 4k of the year. (in that size 65") all that was expected was exactly what what we received. Bingo!!!! we have had the TV a month now and are still in awe.
We were excited about our 4 k purchase but the picture was no better than the Samsung we were replacing. Our 3d Samsung developed blue lines 3 years after purchase. We thought the Vizio would be an upgrade. We found the smartcast manageable and fairly user friendly One problem was we could not get the picture to show the scores on football games and the picture was blurry. The deal breaker was when I couldn't get any apps to work with Amazon Prime. Vizio needs to address this asap. We returned the TV.
Got it for $988 on Black Friday! Can't beat this 65" local dimming 4K Vizio for that price. Can't give it 5 stars because it does require serious color calibration (found online) to make it look right in dark conditions. Once done it looks phenomenal...but then backlight is not super bright in living room with lots of windows. You can easily switch between "vivid" and "calibrated dark" with remote though. Here's to hoping the OLED's drop in price after the super bowl.
Bought this tv Black Friday online. It sat in box over a month at home before I could set it up. I didn't know what I was missing. What a Great picture and system.
Shopped for bout 2 weeks, and decided on this tv basically because of the good reviews Bought this at a great price of $998.00. After opening and setting up which was relatively normal. For starters, the Picture just didn't have the "wow" that I was looking for. After messing with setting for about a week or so, just couldn't get any better to my eye. I went by many posts of recommended settings by many professional sites. But now is the worst part of the tv. The tv comes with a small remote for basics and a tablet for all settings, wifi, smart tv apps, etc. The tablet is Worse Idea Ever and a total Pain In The Butt! I just couldn't figure the darn thing out. And it needs to be recharged daily. While this may be a descent idea in the future. There are just to many bugs to be worked out. I consider myself a pretty smart guy and will try things for change, but at the end of the day this tv was a disappointment picture wise and extremely disappointing remote/tablet wise. I ended up taking it back to Sams and exchanging for a LG 65uh6150 which I absolutely love. And the tv was and sale for only $798! Much better picture, normal remote, easy set up and $200 less. I highly recommend the LG over the vizio in every category!!
