TV arrived packaged well, and set up in about 15 minutes with no problems.

You can thell the TV is refurbished as there are some scratched ont eh back. However, the front of the TV is like new. Great picture. With Wal-Mart's return program, it is worth the chance on a refurbished product at this great price.

Purchased this set for a friend and we couldn't be happier with the quality of this TV for the money spent. His first flat screen TV was a 39" and could have been bigger for the size of his large living room. So when it came time to purchase a flat screen for his bedroom, we decided to move the 39" in to the bedroom and look for a larger screen for the living room. He didn't have much to spend but wanted quality. So I opted to research refurbished models. Soooo glad I did! This TV exceeds my expectations. Arrived two days later, paid the extra $2.98 for faster delivery, in an unmarked box which was wheeled right into his apartment. It was very nicely and snugly wrapped in heavy duty bubble wrap, not that white particle board that gets all over the place. Contents include the TV, stand with screws, remote - no batteries, takes two "AAA' batteries, and electrical cord. You will need to invest in an HDMI cable unless you get one during hook-up through your cable/satellite provider. Set up was a breeze! He chose the "vivid" setting because of the brightness and rich colors. The sound is awesome for a flat screen: Stereo SRS. Back-round music does not wash out the voices like some sets and there is no tininess. I choose the LCD over the LED because I wanted a TV with good speakers, I did not want to invest in a sound bar. So glad we took a chance - we were lucky! I purchased a four year warranty plan to protect his investment. Even if it only lasts for 5 years, for the amount of money spent, it will have been well worth it. Was sorry to read that others did not have as much luck with their sets as we did, but chanced it based on a 40in. Vizio I have in my den that I have been very pleased with, and so glad I did. I would recommend that if you're looking for a large screen under $400.00, this is an awesome choice and feel you won't be disappointed! I have confidence in this name brand by experience.
