Wahl Lithium Micro Groomsman Trimmer #5640-1001

I received the Wahl Micro GroomsMan Detailer Kit and was actually pretty excited to try it. I have stragglers, random eyebrow hairs, and pesky nose hairs. I was so impressed overall with how quiet it is and how well it works. I did notice that on coarse hairs you do have to pass over it a few times. But it did work wonders on my nose hairs. I got this a week ago and have used it several times now. I've tried many of the cheaper "As Seen On TV" groomers for a low price and the power of The Wahl Micro trimmer is more powerful than any of the other models I have purchased and used. I also like the eyebrow trimmer attachment. Every time I go and get my haircut, the ladies doing my hair also as me if they can trim my eyebrows because they grow long and down past my eyes. I've tried using the other trimmers I've purchased and by the time I'm done, it looked like my 5 year old granddaughter trimmed them. The attachment with this model works great and cuts them evenly. The only reason I give it a 4-star rating is because it doesn't have a built-in light. All of the other trimmers I've purchased have a light on them. If they put a light in this model, I would definitely rate it a 5-star product. In function and results, I rate it a 5-star rating and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good trimmer that is powerful and gives them a close, clean cut trim. Decided to get one of these for detailing mostly facial hair and trimming eyebrows. This is not a rechargeable lithium battery, it runs on a AAA battery, but comes with a lithium battery in the package that is claimed to last quite a while. The unit itself is very thin and easy to carry and travel with. The only issue here is that it does not come with a carry bag to keep the small attachments together. Regarding the attachments themselves, the nose and ear trimmer was nice, it worked without issue. The biggest complaint and the main reason for the overall rating is the detailing attachment. This particular attachment had issues from the start. Once I attached it, turned it out, the unit stopped working. Sliding the switch on and off did not produce anything. Removing the attachment and reattaching worked temporarily. If this attachment wasn't on the razor body exactly right it would not allow the razor to turn on. The attachment was fairly loose when "secured" in place. Furthermore, the detailing attachment did struggle with more coarse hair. This is most likely due to the very small spacing between the blades. I did not experience any pulling, just wouldn't cut the coarser hair. The detailing attachment guard was a little finicky as well. If you're not careful, you can put the guard on at an angle causing minimal trimming capability. Make sure it lines up properly. Overall, it's a good travel design if you have the time to play with it for a while to get it to function at it's best. However, for my particular needs, this razor could use a little more attention to detail (Pun intended). [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I love this product. I loved the attachments. The nose trimmer attachment worked really well, Ive had a hard time finding a product that gets rid of all the nose hairs. This one worked wonders. I also loved the precision attachment. I was able to trim up my neckline really well on only one pass. It's a all in one tool, I don't need anything else to keep myself groomed! The Wahl Micro Groomsman Kit works very well but is a little on the unfinished product looking side. Have used this several times this week and got excellent results from this trimmer. Love the slide on grooming comb attachment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
