WeeSprout Silicone Baby Food Freezer Tray with Clip-on Lid (Ten 1.5 Ounce Sections)

I love these WeeSprout Silicone Baby Food Freezer Trays with the Clip-On Lid! So I mixed 1/4 tub of apple sauce with a banana and a handful of spinach and blended it, then poured it straight into the tray. I froze it and it worked perfectly! The lid snaps on and off very easily. I will say you should underfill SLIGHTLY because it seems to slight expand since when you freeze something there is more space between the molecules (thanks 10th grade chem!) But some were filled to the very top and it wasn't a huge deal. I could easily pop two of the cubes right out with out popping any others out in accident. They slide right out! I put the two cubes in the wee sprout pouches and it fits two perfectly so I have 4 oz of food ready to go, on the go! I just throw it in the fridge to thaw out the night before :) I love that they have tons of recipes on their website to give you ideas as well. All in all, EXCELLENT tray!

WeeSprout Silicone Baby Food Freezer Tray with Clip-On Lid in blue is a great product with all kinds of uses. The tray is PVC, BPA, lead and phthalate free. Each of the 10 little sections holds 1.5-ounce portions; there are 1-ounce marks in each cup if you want a smaller portion. The tray is made of FDA approved food grade silicone. The lid is made of hard plastic and both lid and tray are covered by a lifetime guarantee. The lid and tray are top rack dishwasher safe and the tray is so handy, it can also be used in the microwave and you can cook in the tray in the oven up to 425 degrees F. When I filled the tray with spoonfuls of plain yogurt sweetened with fruit spread, it was easy to fill and the lid snaps on securely to the tray. Since the silicone is flexible and not rigid, I found the tray a bit wobbly when I was carrying it to the freezer. My yogurt pops froze nicely and were easy to push out one by one by pressing on the bottom of the tray. I like the flexibility of this product and the weesprout.com website is very helpful as well for recipe ideas. Although mostly geared towards baby foods, I can see many other applications for this as molds for baking, etc.

This is a very well made silicone cube type freezer tray for baby food and so much more! The silicone is thick and each cube is webbed to another. The tip has individual clips on each of the outside cubes. I have used it for small portions of canned food that I need saved in the freeze where I can pop 1 or as many as I need and not the whole tray. Great for broths, purree's and frozen pumpkin for my home made dog treats. .

This WeeSprout storage container is a handy little thing to have around. I just fill each of the 10 wells, snap on the lid and pop it into the freezer. It seems to freeze the contents very quickly. I don't know if the silicone has anything to do with it or not but I like this about the container. If there was one drawback, it would be that the contents are quite difficult to get out once they're frozen. I have to end up forcing each little cup inside out in order to get what I want out of there. It is a little easier if I run water over the container first. But I still love this storage container and have already put it to good use.
