I have had the blender about 4 months, and it has proven to be a reliable blender at a good price. Like most, I did my research and for the features I was seeking; good motor, durable, and ease of use and clean up, I am more than satisfied. This blender is an outstanding purchase. I would purchase it again.

I recently wanted a personal blender, I went through 4 different kinds and they either stopped working the first day or like this one wouldnt chop ice well at all. This design was actually one of the worst because the blades are to small and the ice locks the motor up and you have to keep shaking it or the motor just humms. Anyway after all these failures I ended up with the cheapest and best personal blender the hamilton beach double cup in white. WOW!!!!! This thing mutilated ice fast. I made some really concentrated black cherry kool aid and filled the blender cup about half way, then about half with big ice tray cubes and blended for about ten seconds, when the level dropped I added more ice and a little more mix and in about 10 seconds more I had a perfect slurpee just like from the expensive convienance store. I was shocked at how it disnt leave any ice at all unchopped. The ice was almost creamy. I love this thing and would definately buy another even if it only lasted a couple months. Hopefully it will go for awhile. If it doesnt though seventeen was an awsome deal from amzn. So if your in the market your best bet is the hamilton beach. The bullet is over rated too. So stay away from this, the bullet, the drink station and the cheap oster blenders, this thing beats em all.

I wanted a compact blender that could handle ice and also was affordable. The manual says not to run the motor longer than 90 seconds at one interval, so I'm hoping with proper use the motor will not burn out. I've used it a few times so far and it works pretty good...just requires a little more attention like shaking the ingredients together, etc. I like the fact that it's compact and doesn't come with a bunch of extra storage containers that end up taking up space.

This is our second Back To Basics blender we purchased. It's great and compact. We use this 2-3 times a day making our shakes with frozen fruits, veggies and juices. Easy to clean and you can take the jug with you on the go! Now my mother-in-law wants one so she can eat her veggies and fruits without chewing! This is the best little compact blender I have ever used!!

I've had this blender for about 3 weeks now and I use it about twice a week. So far it does well blending my ingredients( I followed the advice of some of the other reviewers and use frozen fruit) as well as my yogurt/liquids. I only wish that the blades was a little sharper, because I did put just a couple of ice cubes in it once and it didn't do well, left big chunks. Overall I really have no complaints and I hope to enjoy it for a good while.
