Whirlpool - 4.8 Cu. Ft. Smart Top Load Washer with Load & Go Dispenser - Chrome Shadow

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I'm wife and I chose this combo and are so far VERY pleased. They look great (like non-fingerprint stainless) and do their job so far perfectly. The first use on the washer took a call to the manufacturer to figure out how to use it as we were not used to a completely digital machine and the quick start instructions were inadequate. Once we were educated the washer is a dream to use and does a great job.The dryer also is great. We were used to 20+ year old machines and the length of cycles was much less than these new machines but they also have short cycles if you need them. We do as our clothes are never very soiled (we're late 80's) so that is a valued function.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We have had our new washer for about a month now. I can not get over the size of it. Great for big family's that have lots of laundry. No problem fitting comforters and bulky items. Very happy with our purchase. We bought the matching dryer and very impressed with the size and efficiency of that as well.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Uses less water for sure. Load & Go confuses me as it says 100% full after several loads, never changes. Then one time it said 70% full and I did one small load and it told me it was empty. Not sure how reliable it is, but it is getting my clothes clean (not that dirty to start with though).

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) When we purchased the washer I didn't realize that it was set up for liquid laundry detergent without any really option to use powder. I use Norwex powdered laundry detergent. To place the powder detergent in the bottom I end up with white residue marks on my dark clothes. If I don't have the setting on max fill, regardless of the load size, I get the residue too. I feel like this is really starting to add up on my water bill, we are a family of 5 and do a fair bit of laundry. Would like to see a quick wash cycle less than 50 mins too. Overall if I was given the option or could afford to return and purchase something different I 100% would. We have always been happy with Whirlpool products, so it was very disappointing.
