Must run in city mode to much interference in highway mode.

Great radar detector for the price. I have owned several over the past 30+ years and this one is very nice. The only thing I miss is the compass which I've had on the last couple I've owned. However, I chose this without the compass since the vehicle I drive now has one that is built in. This detector is very accurate and gives adequate notice of what is lurking around you in all directions. The city mode might even be better than some that I've had in the past. False alerts are so annoying. With this one if you have it in "city" mode and it goes off, you better be paying attention. It has not let me down yet. I highly recommend this one to anyone on a limited budget. It will certainly save you money and headaches in the long run.

It appears to work good. Large display screen and volume is loud enough. Great value for the money.

Drove past a few police cars hiding behind objects, never got a detection. Does pick up on speed sign radars though.
