Works best with larger size shoes.
This rack is worth every penny, is sturdy and perfect! My husband has ALOT of shoes so it was important NOT to get a cheap wire shoe rack. I used the bottom 2 racks for my boots. This rack comes with 3 pieces you must attach together, very easy!! It, also, comes with 4 sticky Velcro's for you to stick onto the rack and one onto the door. I would suggest to put a Velcro at the bottom left and bottom right of the rack. This is so when you open the door the rack doesn't move because that is where the weight of all the shoes wants to move the rack. I would then put the other 2 Velcro's on the back of the 2nd and 3rd pieces where it attaches. Having all 4 Velcro's more towards the bottom of the rack will keep it in place better. You will understand once you put this together. I know......I didn't do this but analyzed afterwards that it would've been better. It's a GREAT shoe rack!!!
This didn't work for my garage utility door as it was too thick, but even if it wasn't, the metal brackets are too thick since the door is completely sealed when shut. Other than that, light weight, great build, and fits on any other standard sized door in the house. Fits about two pairs of men's shoes for each shelf.
Love this product! I can now get rid of the mountains of shoe boxes in my closet! This item was easy to put together with the aid of a hammer or mallet, as previous comments have indicated. It fits very securely over the door, and I love the Velcro dots that keep it from swinging or banging at the bottom. The bars that your shoes rest on have a rough surface to keep your shoes securely in place. Also, the bars can flip up to accommodate taller shoes like boots! Awesome product!
Made of plastic and I guess metal for poles that you have to put together. Once put together, the place where you put your shoes, sticks out about 8 inches from base of door. When you open closet door, it will bump you so you have to open door all the way to clear yourself to get into closet. Doesn't fit onto standard door as advertised. Took it back and I hardly ever return merchandise. If I didn't know what it was, never would have figured it out. No recommendation on this one.
