Easy to assemble
I had a very similar product I purchased several years ago and I wanted to add another. This is nearly identical, but I can tell the materials are cheaper and they skipped on the finishing touches. No screw covers and worst of all the edges of the shelves weren't rounded off === VERY sharp so be cautious when grabbing at your shoes! I suppose you get what you pay for, but I've purchased a similar rack of different shape/size by a different manufacturer and the edges were rounded off so I won't be bleeding all over my wardrobe! I'm keeping it because it what I wanted for storage purposes (specifically the shape/size is the same as my old one), but if this was a new purchase I'd probably send it back purely for safety reasons.
easy to put together and sturdy enough for all my husband's shoes, which pile up in the utility room. very nice looking also.
Wood was a bit darker than depicted in photograph, rough and warped in certain areas being darker than others. Seems like it would scratch easily. Assembling was harder than expected, it would be easier if you had someone to help. It's hard to keep other areas balanced and allign the nuts and screw them in with the allen wrench at the same time. The piece looks fine without the plastic nubs to cover the screws, but inserting those is difficult, as they break and snap easy. I'd suggest for easier insertion to use a rubber-tipped hammer. Good product overall for the price, sturdy and efficient with enough space to hold shoes, or folded clothing (I purchased to hold my folded pants.) Would reccomend.
