I purchased the unit from Walmart on 08/29/2025 and it is utter junk. Great idea if only better materials were used and some design features added. The legs are poorly thought out. Round legs to fit square posts? Come on. The unit like all feeders are top heavy. How about 3 moulded loops on the bottom half of the barrel to tie a rope to so it can be anchored? The legs are best drilled and screws fitted to keep them together. It is not very stable and a strong wind gust will blow it over. The plastic rivets holding the 2 barrel halves together are pathetic. What happened to bolts and buts? The lid closure is in need of redesign. There are holes in the lid for some hardware which is not included. The lid should remain closed when the unit falls over. I purchased a 6 volt solar charger and battery at the same time. There is no way to connect the charger to the battery without drilling holes somewhere. I did not open the charger to see if there are any suggestions. It requires tin snips or a laser cutter to open. I assembled this at my food plot and disassembled it to take back home for improvements and test to controller. Don't be like me. read the reviews before buying. If I was close to Walmart I would have returned the unit for a refund rather than make improvements.
