Overall the product was what we hoped it would be, we were very pleased by the quality and the color went well with our decor, we use it in our dining room, but my husband had a hell of a time assembling it, since the instructions were not to clear, also it only had holes drilled on one side and he had to drill the other holes himself and was neverous about making a mistake, othewise for those two problems, we are happy with the product.
I am very pleased with my purchase of this cabinet, but not without some caveats. First, it is NOT solid wood as described. The frame (vertical corner pieces and shelf edges), top, and most of the drawer pieces are wood. The sides, back, shelves, and rack are a "wood product" material like masonite-- quite functional and decent enough looking but not solid wood. This will not wear as well as wood and will be more likely to absorb moisture, especially basement humidity. It is, however, nice and solid once assembled. Second, I assumed (my mistake) that it would be deep enough to completely encase the wine bottles, but the tops of the bottles stick out a little. Third, as other reviewers commented, it can be a little tricky to get some parts to fit. You'll need to drill better pilot holes for the smaller screws. I also found it helpful to slip the back panels into place before I screwed the shelves in, rather than after, as otherwise the slots for the backs would not have lined up. It took me 3 hours to assemble the first cabinet, and one hour to assemble the second one. The cabinets look great side by side and I hope they'll last with some TLC.
Needed to be able to store wine rather than on the floor in my pantry and found this wine storage unit to be perfect, small enough yet large enough to hold so many bottles. It works perfectly in my great room and is close to my bar area.
This product is a far better quality than described online. It was very easy to assemble. All parts and instructions were there and clear. I am already planning on purchasing more of these when I build my wine cellar.
The cabinet is lovely and is priced very reasonably[...] My only complaint is the wine paraphernalia drawer sticks. I need to hold the top of the unit in order to pull the drawer out without knocking wine bottles around. A friend suggested rubbing wax on the sides (the drawer is NOT on rails). Otherwise, I love it!
