Bought for my son who wears a 12.5 EEEE (XXW.) I did however purchase a 13 EE (XW.) They fit! The leather is supple and forgiving. His foot bulges (just slightly and less than previous shoes) beyond the sole where his foot is the widest. He's a super hard fit and is used to this happening as it's hard to find stylish EEEE width footwear. He's happy with them. They do not hurt his feet. He's very happy with them and would recommend them.
These boots WERE the absolute perfect boot... up until I went back to buy more and they started manufacturing them in China!!! The color is off... the fit is off... the entire boot looks different!!! I am beyond disappointed and need the original Guatemala made boots back!!! You suck Wolverine... give me my boots back... I hate the China made boots... take these back and send me the boots I deserve!
I bought these boot two days ago, and I already hate them, they look really good, but once you put them on you have ten minutes before they star hurting your feet, not sure if I can still return the since I already wore them a full day, but I'm going to try.
I have had these boots since December, I often spend 14-16 hours on my feet a day. They are a slight bit heavier then some other Wolverine boots I have had in the past, however, still a comfortable boot. My only gripe about them is going to be the insole. If you have one you like I would recommend getting it. Though their insole isn't bad, its kind of a basic one and has a hard sort of lip to it which my right boot actually digs into my foot. I added a double foam insert onto of theirs which actually made a huge difference and improved comfort even more. The leather takes a good beating, I got stuck in the rain for 15 hours and though they were drenched the rocky ground I was on didn't tear the leather up. They are a bit stiff at first but once they break in its like a slipper. I do have a smaller heel then most people, so my heel tends to lift a bit in the boot. If it had a little bit better heel pocket it would also help. If you are someone with bigger feet this is definitely the boot for you. Would I buy this boot again? Yes I would and I still would recommend it to people. I feel if Wolverine could find a way to keep the style of this boot and the comfort of it once it breaks in but improve on its comfort even more (better insole) it would be incredible. Hope this helps people. My review points out things I noticed and subjective to me. Others might not find the same things for everyone is different.
I have had these boots for about two months now. I use them for work in construction and these have to be the most uncomfortable boots I have ever used. First they were a little to big. I usually wear a 10 or 10.5 size shoe. I purchased these in 10 and they feel to big. The insole was so uncomfortable that I had to go buy some different insoles. I've rolled my ankle wearing these several times and I believe it's because of the fit and sizing. If it wasn't because I threw the box away I would have returned them the first day. The only positive thing I can say is that the outer leather is great and does take a beating. But that about it.
