First thing, the same playhouse is $399.00 at Toys"R"Us, so it's priced very well. The house itself took a couple hours to put together, the accessories is what is so time consuming. My husband had it up in no time. After reading the reviews I thought it was going to take forever. The key to not having the wood split on you, is to pre-drill the holes, we did this and had no problems with wood splitting. There is no floor, but for $20.00 you can go to home depot and buy flooring. My husband cut two pieces of wood and screwed them together, then cut them to fit perfectly inside the house. Worked out great. I am now going to get indoor/outdoor carpet to put inside. It is a really nice looking playhouse. Our daughter loves it.

The dimensions do include the bench, and is more like 4x4 put together. We had to purchase materials to make a floor. Since this is for the kids, we also laid outdoor carpet to avoid splinters. We had to completely take the door apart and reattach after my daughter used it only a couple times. 4 year olds are not known for gentleness, and it is only held together with staples. All in all once put together is is very cute though. Expect to add another $50 for flooring, and extra screw or nails though. My 4 year old just loves it.

I think that if ou want an attractive cedar playhouse for your yars, yet can't afford one that is $1,000's of dollars, this one is great! It is super cute, not too big (perfect for a small yard like ours) and my kids love it! Not sure if it would be good for older larger kids, but my 3 and 1 year old really like it. Also, it will double as a fantastic doghouse once they out grow it! It did, however take my dad and my husband (both extremely handy) almost 9 hours to put it together! I think that for the price, the quality and construction is good (its not amazingly sturdy, but good enough!). I would definitely recommend this product to someone who does not want a plastic playhouse and who does not have tons of money.

I wouldnt tell anyone not to buy this playhouse but it is not as sturdy as i had hoped. I bought it for my daughter for her 2yr bday. i wouldnt recomend it for the ages that it suggest from 3 to 10 yrs. maybe 7 or 8 but not ten. Assembling the product was pretty easy although it took hours to do. Wouldnt recommend for some rowdy kids it might not hold up to your expectations.

When the box is opened, it looks a bit overwhelming. You probably should have two people to assemble and install the roof section. Separate all the parts, it makes them easy to identify. There is no floor. We are using some leftover decking material. Keep a bottle of wood glue handy. Just in case you get a split. It only took half the time the instructions called for, but I was tacking small parts together with a brad nailer to keep them square and in position. If you don't have a nailer, I HIGHLY recommend using several sets of clamps. Some small spring clamps, and some that will extend at least 12 inches. It would be very difficult to keep things square while trying to drive screws. Especially without having clamps or a nailer. Overall, my child came home and loved his house. And that's what matters the most.
