Poplar, Tulip Poplar or Yellow Poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera) is a domestic species that is very popular for paint grade projects. The heartwood is light cream to yellowish brown with some occasional streaks of gray or green. It has a straight uniform grain. It is easy to work. We recommend sanding to a little higher grit than you might usually do prior to finishing. All Sizes are Nominal.
