Wyze - Cam V4 2.5k QHD WiFi, Indoor/Outdoor, Wired Security Camera with Color Night Vision - White

Honestly I'm not impressed with the v4 after I bought so many v3 cams over the years. I was expecting more from the v4. I also hate that event recording isn't a thing anymore. Luckily I have SD cards for all my cams, but I hate the extra step of needing to check the card vs Cam Plus Light not being a thing anymore. Oh well. I will probably look elsewhere for my next camera.

The deal is that in order to see more than one at the same time, you have to pay a yearly subscription, in reality 2 subscriptions. One for the cameras on your phone, and apparently the other to view 2 cameras on your computer. Cameras are great, but I suspect to get what you want it is an never ending yearly subscription. It is likely the low price is offset for people subscribing to get all the bells and whistlers. Yes it works without any subscription but you wil lwant what they offer for a yearly price.

They are ok never had before so no comparison. I haven't seen anything on porch when it say there is something I know it picks up a car going buy on the road but it must be seeing leaves blowing or something . I was wondering if it could be set to just beep on people ?

The image is terrible at night, there is a great deal of blur on moving objects. The image reduces close up area. The v3 has less blur and shows more area near the camera. They both suck for being able to read any letters, especially on license plates more than 20 feet away. The v4 seems to have just had a little bit of a change in the lens to let a little more light in and trade close up area for a little more of seeing further, like a couple feet difference. You lose your door step viewing area compared to v3 in the same placement.

I don't like the new v-4 camera, it's not like the old v-3 camera where you can use it with the basic free plan and make adjustments to the settings. For the v-4 you have to get the plus program to do the same things that the v-3 did. I'm am very disappointed with Wyze you didn't state this things when you are shopping the cameras. You cannot even disable the “hi, you are currently being recorded” voice that comes on every time the camera senses a movement . You cannot even turn the camera off from your phone like the old v-3 you have to unplug it. It's doesn't let you know on your phone when the camera senses a person like the old v-3, the only thing better is the resolution it's super clear. Now I guess this could all be eliminated if you pay for the plus plan but I was happy with the old v-3 free plan that did the work that I needed, like I said Wyze didn't state that this is how things work now, unless there's some hidden written inquiry somewhere. Very disappointed with the product. I hope my old trusty v-3 that's still working does so for many more years the other one blanked out which caused me to purchase the new c-4. Will be looking at different brands soon. I just read the guidelines so you want me to lie about your product?
