I purchased this sharpener to replace a 50 year old or older vacuum sharpener. Let us say the new sharpeners suction apparatus will not lock down on a smooth hard surface. Therefore, it was return to Walmart the next day. I have now ordered one that will be screwed to the wall I'll let you know how it works.

This pencil sharpener does a wonderful job. It's only fault is don't mount it on a vertical wall. It works great on my desk but it will loose it's vacuum in a day or so. If you like a sharp pencil and and you keep it on a horizontal surface it's a winner.
