I just wanted a simple digital piano. I have a acoustic piano but I need a digital piano to practice night time. I don't want to bother my neighbor by my piano sounds. So I chose this because Yamaha brand and reasonable price. But these keys don't resemble acoustic piano keys at all. Key are plastic. and more organ touch. I can't practice my piano music with this. I need another digital piano which is similar to my digital one which keys are very similar to acoustic one. But this one has a lot of musical functions. So, if you want to enjoy music and you are beginner of organ or piano this would be fun. Or as a kids' gift.
Sounds wonderful and the lighted key feature is terrific for learning. No setup issues at all with any of the bundled items. Stand was easy to assemble and fits the keyboard perfectly. The only item I wish the bundle would have included was a dust cover.
Very pleased, delivered promptly, good price. I'm sure we'll enjoy it for years to come
It's definitely not a piano nor does the keys feel like piano. I had college dorm mate who wanted a keyboard for the dorm that felt like piano key. He found a perfect one at around 5,000 bucks. I have played piano before and would consider myself a novice. No it does not feel exactly like piano keys but to a novice like myself it really doesn't matter and I'd rather not pay $5000 for what I need to do. I bought it so my son can learn how to play piano. For that purpose this $130 keyboard will serve well. It comes with music sheets and I do like the learn to play feature with lighted keys. It's nice to just let the keyboard do its thing and auto play different songs. I noticed some of the musics have been altered to fit the 61 keyboards (where as piano has 88 keys). By altered I mean they chopped the sections where they require more keys. It comes with stand which require minimal assembly and AC adapter. Pedal is not included. When in learning more, you can have the keyboard lighted for left or right or both. Slow the tempo. And many more feature that I have not yet figured out.
The keyboard in really nice and I like the accessories that came with it. However, I was under the impression that someone would be able to learn on this that has never used a keyboard or piano before. It is not that type of keyboard. The songs they have for learning are to fast paced for someone who has never used one before.
