York Zero Sugar Chocolate Peppermint Patties Candy, Bag 3 oz

I don't know who came up with the brilliant idea to send chocolate through the mail in the summertime, in the high heat temperatures we've been having, and not send it refrigerated. Needless to say, it was not a brilliant idea. My York Peppermint Patties came smashed with the white peppermint coming out of the chocolate, stuck to the wrapper, melted and broken.

NEVER, and I mean NEVER send Chocolate of any kind via USPS. I got melted single packed mints and through them out. It takes forever to get anything in the mail.

Recently diagnosed with diabetes I have to watch sugar and carbs. I thought chocolate was a big NO These are the perfect portion and something I keep in the freezer for a nighttime treat. Yummy. One or two will actually satisfy that craving for chocolate and it doesn't taste artificial.

I think they did a great job I don't notice much difference between the original and these zero sugar ones. I really got them for a parent that is diabetic but I tried a couple and thought they were good. I may pick up more for myself in the future...nice treat without the sugar.

Take my review with a grain of salt, because I don't usually buy the regular Peppermint Patties, but in my fuzzy recollection, they were a little more minty than these. I do always enjoy eating them, even if rarely. These sugar free ones, I didn't find minty enough, and I didn't enjoy eating them very much. The texture is great; the chocolate is fine, but I wanted more flavor in the filling. I had two of them and will give the rest to my husband, who said "It's good!"
