ZTE Radiant Z740 2.03 GB Smartphone, 4" LCD800 x 480, 1 GB RAM, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 3G, Gray

This is my first smartphone and I love it. Being a senior, always thought they were too much trouble and more than I needed. I was really wrong! The phone is intuitive to use, and while it has taken me a while to get used to (and I still get lost periodically) , I've only had it a couple of weeks and think the more I use it the better I'll get. I like being able to take photos without carrying around a camera - and they've turned out very well. All in all, I give this phone a thumbs up!

I can't believe that this phone cost so little and does so much. Prior to this I had a Samsung Galaxy but it wwnt "kaput" after 1 1/2 years. My warranty was expired and I am not eligible for an update until this coming December. I went to my local AT&T store and they recommended that I try the Radiant Go Phone. Even though this phone was originally manufactured to be a prepaid phone, AT&T opened up their Share Program. After purchasing the phone from WalMart (which was delivered in 5 days to my home), I went back to AT&T and they set it up. It works great!

Ordered this phone for my son to replace his fusion 2 after he cracked the screen(I got the 2 yr protection plan this time). He is fourteen and says this phone is better than the fusion. His only complaint so far is that the charger cord is really short.

Having this phone for a little over a week, I must say that I really like it. I had a little trouble when I first got and almost returned it. I could not get my existing address book to load in from subscribed telephone network. It always said "Network error" whenever I pressed on the address book icon. I called up the technical support finally, and he found out that the network only remembered my old simple phone which used the old standard sim type. Once they changed the info. and recycled the power back on, the phone started to load in address book and works flawlessly ever since. Due to 4G speed, I also notice that the downloading speed of internet is faster than the Avail2 Gophone by atleast 2-3 sec. typical. 5Mpixel Camera though only front available is also nice. It also comes with the flash that Avail2 doesn't have. Few cons I have are battery power, small size of memory (~ 2GB). The battery doesn't seem to last as long to the par as I expect. It lasts ~ 2 days for me in normal use (2-3 calls & 1-8 text/day). A little minor thing is the door that kept the external micro SD memory in always popped open slightly. The problem can be fixed, if you spend few $ to get the phone protective case. Easy to find by searching for Z740 phone case online. The phone seems to have a hot spot function available but somehow it doesn't work as of yet. It is a nice function that I could share data with my other notebook or tablet while travelling. The tech. people did not know it either why. I'll update when I figure out how to make it to work.

I purchased this phone for my husband. It has been like Christmas for him in June... He is so pleased with all the features and apps. The only draw back for him is that the running apps takes away from the battery.
