Great game. Plays just as the original version did on my Nintendo 64
I'm so happy I can play this game again! Haven't played since the N64 days!
Love love love it!
100% RECOMMENDED
I recently purchased the 3DS and mostly what I like to play is Zelda games. I think even Nintendo often refers to their game console, for kids. Well there is a 6 in my age and it is not the second digit. I have been playing the Zelda games for many years. I also enjoy playing Tetris and some of the other puzzle type games. I like this game much better than the new Zelda 'Mask...'. This one is a lot of fun and I really do like it more than most, if not all, of the higher priced Zelda games.
I remember playing this originally on the Nintendo 64; back in 1998. Fast forward to 2020. 22 years later. Finding out that Nintendo rereleased it on the 3DS; fully remastered, with updated graphics, and a smoother control scheme, I had to get this for my 2DS XL. And allow me to tell you, this is absolutely astounding how well this title was handled. They really took great care to ensure that practically everything was left intact. The music: as emotive as ever. The graphics: absolutely stunning as to how they were able to enhance the way the world, characters, and objects look. Everything looks bright, crisp, and new. It's even better than the N64 original. The controls: Two words: Spot on. extremely responsive. no slow down. very... natural. Speaking of slow down: I never experienced any drops in frame rate at all. For me the game was at a solid 30 - 35 frames per second. Now. Regardless of whether you're like myself and played the title back when it originally released; or if you never played this before. I cannot recommend this title enough. Please if you haven't already purchased it, do yourself a favor and add this to your library. You surely will not regret it.
Slightly different controls than the nintendo 64 version because you're playing a DS, but pther than that its the same. Ive heard they improved a few scenes to help the player.
This game is exactly like the Nintendo 64 version that I played briefly as a teen although I didn't own that game it was preplayed I love this one playing it from the beginning being able to get through somethings easily because I remember them from the n64 I love how this game doesn't have time limits or levels you can basically do what you want when you want it is a great game for all ages
It came without the plastic wrapping which is supposed to be on new cartridge boxes, and the manual inside had ruffled edges, so I was a little skeptical of its condition at first. However, I couldn't find any faults with the cartridge itself.
Great game, it takes up the Zelda franchise and fills the mold, however, there are points where I'm like "what do I do?" or "How does this boss die again?" It took me 15 minutes to realize in order to 'stun' the first boss, you had to throw Deku nuts at him then hit him A LOT. Also, for those not playing with sound, certain areas like the Lost Woods are easier with sound because the music gets louder and more complex to tell you what path to take. Other than that, it's pretty good.
