This is an excellent knife. I was totally shocked by how heavy duty it is for the price. It is an excellent chopping knife. I am going to go back and purchase more.
pay no attention to that 1 star review; I'm a sushi chef, and this knife is a great value at its price under $10.00.
Love this knife, bought it at my local Walmart and have used it multiple times every day. It is a nice weight and is very comfortable to hold. Would recommend it highly.
I am smitten with the design of this knife. Personally I love the butterfly, the color, the way the knife itself handles. I have other knives, and they are superior knives, very sharp, handle great. Same great qualities this knife has. However I find myself reaching more for this one because well I love the design and the sturdiness I have with this great quality knife.
I bought this knife in a local (Houston) Walmart for $8.76. For this price, the knife quality is excellent. I was able to cut all my vegetables very well and the sharpness is excellent for a new knife. However I guess that it would require frequent sharpening (I have an electric sharpener from Walmart, which is handy), which is OK with me.
I am impressed with the quality of this knife! Im not sure what I paid, but It was definitely no more than $10! We will see the longevity, of course, but right out of the packaging the weight is wonderful, appears to be very well made and was sharp! I played with a carrot and it didnt hesitate to chop it very finely without a struggle at all. I will likely purchase a second to have as a back up. My only complaint is I prefer a basic black (vs the teal and red offered currently), but i wont take points away just over color selection! The four stars is because I literally just bought this today and cant grade based on longterm usage, but for the price I am not going to cry if I have to replace every few years even!
Had to give this knife a 1 star. Loved using it until the lack of quality in its design became obvious. The construction of the handle is flawed. The metal portion running inside the handle cracked at the first rivet on the bottom side of the handle. I am assuming the metal in the handle could not stand the pressure of the rivet holding the two plastic handle halves together. My knife is now cracked at the first rivet were my index finger rubs against the sharp crack. Used it to chop squash, nothing very demanding.
Purchased this 2 days ago. Washed before I used last night. Hut 3 chicken breasts in half, washed, dried and was left with these stains. Tried washing 4 more times with different sponges and they wont come off. Now looks like crap. Waste of money .
