This pan is Cast Aluminum and it is an attractive looking pan. The aquamarine green blue color is very nice and my wife loves it. It heats up good and you don't have to use much if any oil. We mostly use it to fry eggs and like to put a very small sliver of butter for flavor and have not had any issues with the eggs sticking. It is very lightweight too. We have a smooth glass cooktop and are careful with it when moving it around just to be sure it doesn't scratch the surface since the bottom isn't smooth and has raised channels to help distribute the heat better. The handle looks like it is olive wood, but it almost looks like some other sort of manmade material as smooth as it is, but regardless looks nice. The pan doesn't have the versatility of a cast iron pan to get really high temperatures for good quick sears so don't expect that. I do recommend the pan and it does the job.
Ree's line is so fantastic! Quality, form, and function! Her downhome spun look on all of her products are fantastic. Everytime I pull this bad boy out, people are like "Oh how pretty!" So glad Walmart carries her products!
I am in love with this pan I've never felt a handle like this it looks like wood but has a soft touch very fancy. I'm about to make breakfast in this for 6th time and It looks brand New! Very durable and wipes clean and No Scrubbing needed. I will have this for life. 90% of the items in my kitchen are from "The Pioneer Woman" I enjoy using everything and get compliments constantly. I like that you can get pans and other Pioneer Woman products Separately instead of just in sets because I like to add items to gift baskets. A couple Just bought the house next door and their Moving in next week. I'm told this is their first home. I will be picking up this exact pan and a few other Pioneer Woman Products to put in their welcome basket. I love the option to Mix and match. It's a gorgeous pan.
This 10 inch fry pan is not only well made, with a nice weight to it, making it easy to use for frying, it's pretty to look at as well. The teal speckle color is attractive and the wooden handle makes it look really classy. We used it to cook a couple pork chops the other night and it cleaned up easily with a little soap and hot water. No scrubbing required.
The Pioneer Woman's Prairie Signature cast aluminum skillet is unique from its speckled color to its olivewood handle to the floral, even heat design on the bottom of the pan. It is oven safe up to 350-degrees for up to 30 minutes. Oh, and it's non-stick which is one of the reasons I wanted it. For the first use they recommend washing it in warm, soapy water and once it is dry, apply a light coat of cooking oil to the cooking surface. I didn't realize that doing this simple step is the best way to preserve the non-stick surface on any non-stick pan. The instructions state that the cookware is designed to be used without oils or butter, so that is great for eating healthy. They do not recommend using any nonstick sprays... Which is something I learned the hard way a long time ago. I made eggs in the pan and they slid effortlessly out of the skillet when done. I also made pre-cooked bacon, yes, I know, it's pre-cooked, but so much better when heated up in a pan so it can get crispy. Made great hash brown patties also. This ten-inch skillet is the perfect size for me to use on a daily basis. Beautiful and practical for me.
The Pioneer Woman Prairie Signature Cast Aluminum 10 Fry Pan, Teal Speckle, ID a great versatile pan that is non stick, pretty and distributs heat evenly. Love the coating and how easily it cleans up.
The 10” pioneer woman cast aluminum pan in teal speckle cooks up foods so nice. I used it for making my signature egg sandwiches. Just know that there are things you need to do and to remember to do to the pan to have it cook foods and to have the items you are cooking to glide off, they have the information on the back of the pans paper label that it encases. If you do what they say, your cooking will be much better and easier. I have always cooked my eggs a certain way, when I cooked the eggs in this pan, the eggs that I was cooking which was over easy with the yolk broken, they cooked wonderfully over medium heat and in the end they were the best eggs I ever made!!! I don’t think I ever had them so amazing ever and I know it’s due to this pan and the way you treat it prior to use. The eggs turned over perfectly and cooked evenly and let me tell you the best part…nothing had stuck to the pan!!! I never had a pan like this. I took two photos to show cooking of the eggs and for the size by it being held by my hand and placed the way I had so you can see the size and look. I’ll be using this pan happily for quite a while so I can cook a better product so that in the end I can serve and enjoy the food I make more. I recommend and think it would make a great gift.
I love this little fry pan. I was wanting the larger one too but can't find it now.
My new Pioneer Woman cast aluminum fry pan is perfect for cooking meals for two. Now that the kids are on their own, it's only two of us and this fry pan fits just right. It looks classy, with its teal speckle surface and a wooden handle that doesn't get hot while cooking. The fry pan is non-stick and doesn't weigh as much as a cast iron skillet would that translates into easy handling. The handle has a hole at the top for easy hanging to store while not in use. I am very happy with my new fry pan and highly recommend it to anyone.
I love my new Pioneer Woman Prairie Signature cast aluminum skillet. This is a lovely fry pan. The teal color is eye-catching. The wooden handle is easy to use, and doesn't get hot while cooking. I've used items from the Pioneer Woman brand for years, and this skillet meets all of my expectations. This ten inch skillet is perfect for frying meats, cooking eggs, making pancakes, and any other dish the cook can think of. It heats evenly, and doesn't scratch my glass stovetop. Clean up is easy. Cooked-on messes clean off easily. I just cooked scrambled eggs with cheese and peppers, and didn't have to spend more than a couple of minutes washing off the residue. Most kitchens need a nice, new, skillet. This one is a great choice. It is also affordable.
