This is a great collection! The spatula is very comfortable and fits perfectly in the pot, the pot is heated evenly, and the food is not sticky (of course, I always use a little oil carefully without burning things.) The exquisite craftsmanship left a deep impression on me. These are. Even the quality and color look better than in photos. Now I use it every morning for breakfast.
This 8" non-stick skillet is deeper than most and holds more than you think. My photo shows how one pound of hamburger fits nicely as it browns on my stove. This pan's smooth bottom works very well on my smooth glass top stove and allows it to heat up quickly and evenly disperse the heat. Loved the spatula also. Found it heat resistant & very easy to clean. Loved it's wooden handle.
First of all, this came boxed for shipping better than any item I have received. It was in a sturdy box filled with packing peanuts and arrived in perfect condition. It's initial presentation is beautiful. I will consider this item as a gift purchase if needed in the future. The pan is heavy/sturdy and the non stick surface is perfect. I scrambled eggs with no problems. I did hand wash the pan and spatula as recommended- which was fast and easy. This pan is small, so is best used for one or two servings. This is a great set for yourself or as a gift. It's beautiful. I feel special using it. Great quality.

The pan body is aluminum with a stamp bottom with writing "The Pioneer Woman". The pan handle has a hole for a hook. Double riveted. Philips screw head to righten handle to body. The teflon coating is PFOA free. It is oven safe if under 350°F. The silicone handle is heat resistant thus will be safe in low temp oven. Approved Cooking surfaces: Electric. Gas. Vitroceramic. Halogen. Oven (under 350°F).
This 8-inch frying pan and “spoonula” is a very good value. For a few bucks, this set will undoubtedly last a long time. I choose the color red; I'm unsure what the “spectrum of vibrant colors” encompasses. The silicone handle is comfortable to grasp and does NOT heat up when the frying pan is heated up. The double rivets attaching the handle to the pan seem very secure and durable. The aluminum frying pan is solid; it doesn't feel flimsy or thin at all. The pan's top edge is not beveled thin like some are; it's actually the same thickness of the sides and the bottom which is 0.1665” according to my micrometer and is slightly thicker than my “daily driver” restaurant-quality aluminum non-stick frying pans (8”, 10”, and 12”). The instructions and warranty information on the back of the paper label taped inside the pan have one very interesting note: “Use on low to medium heat only.” I'm unsure if this is a standard and common instruction for non-stick frying pans since I purchase frying pans so infrequently. However, I rarely cook food in a frying pan on “low to medium heat only.” So I put it to the test. After hand-washing the pan and “spoonula” once I got ‘em in my kitchen, I cooked a couple of fried eggs in the frying pan and the eggs cooked up wonderfully. The heat at which I fry eggs in a non-stick aluminum frying pan (that is, my regular frying pans) is one notch below HIGH. So this is the temperature at which I cooked these eggs, too. Once I removed the fried eggs, I quickly wiped out the frying pan with a dry paper towel and returned the frying pan to the burner on my smooth-top stove. I then turned up the burner's temperature to HIGH and, without any food/substance in the pan, left the pan on the burner for 5 minutes. Absolutely nothing happened. I then turned off the burner and immediately placed the pan under cold running water. (Note: the silicone handle was not even warm.) After a flash of steam came off the pan, it cooled very quickly and there was absolutely no damage or abnormality. The paint on the sides or the bottom of the pan wasn't even discolored. My conclusion: PASSED. I have never washed non-stick aluminum frying pans by hand (other than rinsing them out first) – they go in the dishwasher, top OR bottom rack, it doesn't matter, wherever there is room. While I haven't yet run the dishwasher with this frying pan in it, I suspect that this pan will perform just as well as my other frying pans have over the years. I have never experienced a decreased lifespan of an aluminum frying pan with a non-stick cooking surface from cleaning them in the dishwasher. I love the idea of the “spoonula.” I've used many spatulas over the years, but I've never had one with a concave scoop built into it. The silicone head of this “spoonula” is thick and seems very durable. The wood handle also seems like it'll last a very long time. Although hand-washing is recommended for it as well, it'll go in the top rack of the dishwasher when it's time to clean it. Finally, who in the world offers a 5-year warranty on kitchen cookware?!? Well, the company that manufactures “The Pioneer Woman” cookware does. Very impressive. So, that's what we're all looking for...that is, a good value, right? Well, here it is. For a few bucks, this is an above-average frying pan and a very useful, durable “spoonula.” I like it and I'll use it...often and at high temperatures!
I really like this frying pan. It is vibrant red and sturdy. It is heavy and suitable for 2 eggs or maybe a steak but won't hold more than for 1 person. Great for a dorm. I recommend this frying pan.
Right away the silicone handle burned on the flame. Use on low heat only. I only use it for eggs or omelets now. Also, had to tighten handle many times only used it maybe 10 times. I wanted an everyday pan for cooking or sauté but this isnt for me.
The pan works fine for cooking. The non-stick portion is truly non-stick - I fry or scramble eggs most mornings and never have a problem with them sticking. However, the metal on the top edges of the pan seems to have been designed so that food sticks like glue, is difficult to clean, and appears to have corrosion. I have other brand pans designed the same way, with non-stick interior and exposed metal on the top edges and have never had a problem. On those, if food sticks to the top edge, it cleans off easily, and show no corrosion. The photo shows the top edges AFTER regular hand washing. It takes steel wool and elbow grease to get that stuff off. Irks me no end. One day soon I will have had enough and heave the pan into the trash can.
This frypan was very well made and heavy for its small size because it is not a large frypan. I really liked the teal color, its special handle and colorful spatula included. However when you turn it over there is a carved teal decorative inlay on the bottom of the pan that is sharp and rough to the touch. I have a glass ceramic electric stove top. Because the bottom of this pan is abrasive I cannot use it. It you have a gas stove top, I assume the colored inlay type teal bottom would not pose a problem. Please be aware of this.
Gave it 2 stars because the pan itself is a good design, but the handle is covered and shouldn't be all the way to the pan itself. Was catching on fire with my gas stove, literally melting at base of the handle while on low heat. Just crazy considering she cooks on a gas stove on her show. Guess she isn't using her own line of pots.
