I can say I am very happy with the sewing kit. I know I have had other sewing kits, but this is the first time I have seen anyone attempt to match the pieces of the sewing kit so that it is easy to identify the components as parts of the sewing kit. Every piece is color and pattern coordinated to match the sewing kit so that no one can “borrow” your scissors and claim they didn't know they were your sewing scissors. Another thing I like is the fact that the kit has so many components that I think are necessary for a sewing kit to be considered to be exceptional. One component is the pin cushion (complete with pins) for holding projects together and aligned. Having a seam ripper to remove a factory seam so you can adjust the length of pant legs for children is a very common sewing task. What makes this even easier is the needle threader and needle set in addition to the adjustable ruler to make sure that the seam remain even. I've owned a lot of different sewing kits, and this one is in a league of its own with the array of tools that are included inside. Honestly, you would pay a lot trying to get some of these pieces separately with other sewing kits.
Great Sewing Kit especially for one who is just starting to sew. The Pioneer Woman sweet roast floral sewing kit has a zippered case, which is really nice to store your sewing notions. The kit includes a 6" metal seam gauge, 8" fabric scissors, 60" plastic-type tape measure, 20-count assorted hand sewing needles, 35 ball head common pins, needle threader with plastic flower handle, a really nice seam ripper, and a cute old fashioned style pin cushion. The kit is very colorful too! I highly recommend this kit.
Pros: + Lovely presentation. + Vibrant colors. + Good quality tools. + Great for gifting. + Pretty rose pattern. + Cover zips open/closed. + Roomy tote. + Convenient for quick jobs and project get togethers. + Ruler mark actually stays where you put it. + Scissors cut well, ripper cuts thread easily. + Good variety of needles. + Love the fabric update on the tomato & strawberry pin cushion. + Perfect for beginners or experienced sewers. Cons: - Some items are hard to remove from tray - needles, needle threader and especially ruler. Notes: When removing ruler pull straight back, not up, or it will bend. All brands of ruler/gauges like this tend to bend easily. Buy at least 2. One for you, one to give.
My Sweet Rose Floral Sewing Kit by The Pioneer Woman is the best little beginner kit and /or travel kit. It is just loaded with anything and everything a person could need to sew with. A total of nine pieces. And it all comes in it's own zippered tote bag with a handle, a six inch seam gauge, eight inch fabric scissors, 60 inch tape measure, 20 count pack of assorted hand needles, 35 count pack of ball head pins size 17, decorative needle threader, a seam ripper and a pin cushion. I just love it. I take it with me when I travel too. The kit is 6.5in W x 2.25in D x 8.9in H, so there is plenty of room left to put anything else you may need for sewing. This is a must have sewing kit if you sew. You will love it.
This is a great kit for those just starting out. It has plenty of room to store thread in addition to everything it comes with. The fabric scissors are great… super sharp. The zipper goes almost all the way around to allow for easy access to the contents. The floral design on the scissors, pin cushion and case are an added bonus. So cute!
This Pioneer Woman sewing kit is so cute. Love the case everything comes in. It has everything you need. Love the colorful handle of the scissors, and the pin cushion reminds me of my grandmother who sewed. You can't go wrong with this sewing kit. You always need one in the household.
I am very pleased with the Pioneer Woman Sweet Rose Sewing Kit. The kit includes a 6.5W x 2.25D x 8.9H tote and seven popular sewing notions. You provide the thread. The sewing notions include 8 inch scissors and they all have a fun design. This would make a wonderful gift for various occasions and it is conveniently filled with everything you need making it easy to take with you.
This Sweet Rose Floral Sewing Kit has just about everything needed to do hand sewing or repair an item, only thing missing is the item that needs repair. Everything that is included in the Sewing Kit either has the Sweet Rose Floral design or the colors of the Sweet Rose Floral. The sewing kit comes in a pretty Sweet Rose Floral zippered carrying tote that has a handle, include are scissors they even have "The Pioneer Woman" printed on the blade, a pin cushion, tape measure, seam ripper, seam gauge, really cute needle threader and ball head pins and hand needles. This Sweet Rose Floral Sewing Kit will definitely be a plus and finally I won't have to search around for the items needed to make a repair or do some hand sewing as everything will be in one place, at last.
I ordered this as a gift for a friend but unfortunately they put the sticker with my name and whatever else they use when getting your order together on top of the kit. I attempted to remove it but it's so sticky it's not looking pretty. Gave it 5 stars because it deserves it but I'm upset about the sticker
The sewing is a pair of scissors, measuring tape, pin cushion and pins, also a hem remover. It is an okay kit with the essentials except for thread. Having at least black and white would have been nice. Colors are the signature PioneerWoman. Kit can easily fit in bag and could travel easy, just add the things you need for that emergency repair.
