CONDITION - USED - Pages can include limited notes and highlighting, and the copy can include "From the library of" labels or previous owner inscriptions. Accessories such as CD, codes, toys, may not be included. A stated first American edition 1979 book. This hardcover illustrated book is in very good condition, but the dust cover is missing. The front cover has some staining, with lesser staining on the back cover, and a previous owner has written an inscription, name, and date on the inside of the front cover (seems to be in ink) and there are a couple small numbers written on the first front fly leaf. Structurally, the book is solid and stiff, and does not appear to have been cracked open too often, The author of numerous books on African wildlife describes how, as a restless, wealthy Austrian she visited Africa and was captivated by the grandeur of the jungle
