This was a great value--a professional machine for a low price. Very easy to use...Only drawback was that description didn't say if it came with a microphone (which it did) so you only need one extra purchase to do duets...
I've really enjoyed this karaoke machine. There are several nice features....you can hook it direct to your TV, Use your Ipod, and even change "key" of a song to better suit the singer. The only thing I would recommend to the manufacturer is a bigger screen. But it works great and I would certainly recommend it to anyone.
I purchased this for a party we were having and in a room 30 x 17 with everyone quiet and the volume all the way up people still were not able to understand/hear the person talking/singing. We ended up returning the product.
Purchased one of these for Christmas. TV screen flickered and would not display any CD-G words on the screen on any CD except the one that came with the unit. Returned for a second unit - this one wouldn't read any CD of any type and made noises like the drive itself was broken. This entire unit feels very cheaply constructed. I cannot comment on the functionality because honestly we never got to use it. I went with another solution instead.
The Karaoke machine was purchased as a Christmas gift. It was returned two days after Christmas. My children tried out the system several different times. Each time the display of lyrics overlapped and made them hard to read. At times the display of lyrics also vibrated making them hard to read. We were very disappointed. The return was easy, but we were not refunded the warranty cost which ran about $20.
this thing looked great, but what a piece of junk. It is very large machine but the music sounds awful. I thought it was the tape so I went out and bought 2 new ones. No Luck! The lyrics also didn't work on the monitor....so I plugged it into the TV....It was garbled not legible at all. Maybe I got a lemon......but oh what a lemon it was.
Grandaughter got for Christman and was so excited - hooked up and tried to use and system will not recoginize disk - we have used several different ones including the demo that came with the machine but nothing - went through all the trouble shooting suggestions but still does not work - have tried every day since the Monday after Christmas to contact by phone and email the company but no one will respond - got a very disappointed little girl - will take it back to Wal Mart Monday if the company will not contact me -
Ordered it for an Xmas gift for my grandaughter. It arrived on 12-14-10. Checked it and found that the DVD/CD player would not work stating "disc error" The mike audio is extremely poor. The microphone is a joke ! The speaker rattled and vibrated when checking the microphone. This thing is junk !! It appears to be thrown together and poorly made. I returned it to Wal-Mart and they promptly refunded my money. Now I have to scramble and find a Karoke machine before Christmas or I'm dog meat.
I bought this based on reading numerous reviews from other customers for this product as well as many other karaoke machines. However, it did not work from the moment we got it out of the box. The CD reader was unable to read any of the CD-G's we had purchased or even the demo that came with it. Thinking it was a hardware issue, we hooked up our iPod to it, but still, it had an error "reading" the files. The manufacturer sent us to Walmart, who processed the return, but was unable to exchange it for us. We may purchase another machine, but probably not this brand.
I received my Karoake machine and was so disappointed. The sound quality was awful and it was not loud enough. The lyrics would get jumbled and you couldn't read them. I have had 3 of this brand and they have been great. I am not sure why this was such a poor quality. I am returning it and getting the pedastal STVG-1009. I had this one and loved it for 5 years, I am going to see if I can get it fixed if not I will purchase another on just like it. I use mine all the time, it is great fun at parties.
