I have been using these cups for years for my kids. The only reason I replaced the ones I have is because they were Dora cups and the kids have outgrown that. My kids are older now and past the toddler stage but these cups are still good for trips and to take to activities. Also, good when watching TV. They prevent spills in the car or on the couch. That is always a good thing. I do not put them in the dishwasher however. They are very durable and replacement straws can be purchased at the Munchkin website. That is the only thing that wears out after use especially if your child likes to chew the straws. Its a good buy.
We've used these for over a year now, and they're the best we've found. They're a bit pricey, but last a long time. Cleaning is easy, and I don't think I've seen them leak yet. Don't over tighten, or the lid could crack. Makes an odd squeak when my son takes a breath and the air rushes into the cup. Overall, excellent product.
I love these cups! I have a four year old and the cups we purchased three years ago are still going strong! We don't have any problems with them leaking at all. The only think I have ever had to replace are the straws, and you can find them on the Munchkin website. We are now looking at getting another set for my one year old so he doesn't have to use the pink ones anymore.
Although there are a lot of pieces to remove I found this brand best for not leaking over time, not getting lost in the dishwasher and ease to maintain/replace straws. The only time I had issue with leaking I discovered that the valve that is located in the shorter portion straw was bent open. This was after lots of use and probably just wore out. After discovering this I made sure to pinch the valve area when rinsing prior to washing in the dishwasher. If not it's possible that dried milk/juice get caught and then bend the silicone valve. I love that the contents stay cold and that even after dishwasher and toddler abuse the cup still performs. Other straw cups I have had don't allow for replacement online or otherwise. I also found that even with placing them in a basket they tended to leave the basket and melt at the bottom of the dishwasher..but not this brand. At first I didn't like the color of the straw but I now realize it makes it easier to see if any liquid has been left behind. I wish the straws were replaceable without having to go online but at least they are available. We have these along with some character ones and the characters do rub off after lots of use so I prefer these though the children may disagree.
I highly recommend these straw cups. They are exactly what we needed. A cup that is durable, spill proof, dishwasher safe, and cute! They are very easy to take the straws out to load them in the dishwasher. You can also put them in the freezer so that they keep their drink cold....great for trips and diaper bags! Great product!!!
I love these cups b/c they are plain...no characters. My kids know that the yellow tops are milk and the other color is water. They are sturdy and durable. The only flaw is that they do leak if you leave the straw open, which kids tend to do. But, if you close the lid they are great. We just recently got a few new ones and two of the four pack were defective....the straw would not close....therefore they just leak! It's annoying! Overall it's a great product and Wal-Mart is the only place that sells these exact cups.
I bought these for my 2 year old and 1 year old and they work great. My 1 year old loves them because he likes to do what his sister is doing and this works great because he loves straws!! Would definately recommend these to anyone with little ones, oh yeah and so far, they don't LEAK!!!!!!!!!!
Although they are nice because children don't have to tip them to drink from them, they leak quite often from the sides. As well as if you child doesn't drink all of the liquid they suck out of the straw they will leak constantly. They ca be put in the freezer to help keep the drinks cold and are VERY durable but I bought them because they say they won't leak, but like all of the other cups like this on the market, they leak just the same.
these bottles leak- and not just a little. if they are laying on their side, they will just leak and leak until you turn it up or it's empty. they are also hard to suck out of. i have a 15 month old, and he handed it back to me b/c his milk wasnt coming out. i tried it myself and had to really suck hard to get the milk out. what a bummer!
Initally these were good cups, I had bought them because my son didn't understand how to drink outta a sippy cup. . . he liked using straws. Eventually (6 months) they started leaking out of the sides, and if your child doesn't finish the liquid in the straw it leaks out of there too. There is 5 pieces that need to be washed including the cup and lid. . . if you didn't put them in the dishwasher I believe that they wouldn't leak.
