This monitor works great. It is very quiet compared to other monitors because it only turns on when there is a sound. We like having the nursery rhymes on it and the ability to turn them on from the parent unit. Also enjoy the talk feature on the parent unit so we can talk to and sooth our little one. Both the parent unit and the monitor have the temperature of the babies' room. Also have a lot more features such as night light, feeding timer and rechargeable battery on parent unit. Great monitor and would definitely recommend.
I have reviewed many baby monitors and few have reception within 2000 feet. This monitor is able to send signals within 2000 feet and is very reliable. We hear everything from our baby and can charge the parent unit while it is being used. The price is also the best at Wal-Mart from all the vendors I have reviewed. I am very satisfied with this product.
I bought this monitor because we have a two story house and my kids are upstairs and we are downstairs. I could not hear them at night if they woke up, but now I can. They are 4 and 6 so I can use the talk feature to find out what they need before trekking upstairs. The monitor is very clear and works well even though it is pretty far away. I can adjust the sensitivity so it doesn't sound like white noise all night like other monitors. It gives me peace of mind when my kids are sick that I'll be able to hear them if they need something.
This is a wonderfdul product. My daughter is disabled, and I use these for her. I am able to hear everything that goes on in the room. Considering her room is on the other side of the house... This was a great investment. I've even dropped it quite a few times and it still works great! The intercom feature is the best part. If I cant get to her room quick enough, Im able to tell her that Im on my way. Thank you so much for such a wonderful product
My mother and I purchased this product for use with the care of my father. He was in the hospital and came home under hospice care. We wanted something that didn't look like it was for a babies room. I came across this product and the features that it had and decided to purchase it. At first it seemed like it was an expensive purchase compared to some of the other products available. However, the various features of this product have been very useful. The talking feature and tempurature feature are great. We can respond and talk to him when he calls out for a need or for my mother and I to communicate with each other. We can monitor the tempurature in his room to make sure it is at a comfortable level for him. What is designed for a feeding schedule has become a medication reminder for us. I also like both the night light feature for his room and the light on the portable unit for our use. It is great at nighttime. The range of the monitor has been good for our use. Since our unit can be portable, we can be outside and still monitor what is going on in his room. IE getting the newspaper and mail. The only problems I have noticed is that with the Melody features, they get slightly garbled at the highest volume level, which is what we like for my father to be able to hear. Also if it is used all night long out of the charging unit, like we like to do, it will sometimes go dead in 8 hours. Jackie
i read the reviews alot good but some bad.. i took a gamble and i am a winner .. i read alot about distance and i took it across the street to the playground which is about a block away and i was still in contact with the base .. so i am very happy yes a few features i will never use but well worth it and it is crystal clear sound.. so i love it
It would be a perfect systems if you had the options to purchase more than one receiver. Other than that its a great product.
Best feature set available. Would be perfect if: 1.Sound quality is poor, plenty of background noise, does not use DECT 2. Temperature Range inaccurate, but you can simply just program in the temperature difference and it works. 3. Very Poor battery life 4. Sound Activated Sensitivity needs to be more consistent and adjustable. Just a few improvements and this would be preftect, but as is, not recommended. returned and bought the avent. Not as many features, but rock solid.
Wanted this to be able to talk to my 5yr old since her room is upstairs. Neat features which many we dont use. The only real complaint I can see about it is keeping the parent unit on the charger and actually charging. If I move anything on my nightstand it stops charging also when the dog lays down and bumps the table. Never happened with our old Graco. I will give it a few more days and make a finaly decision on it. Not too sure about it since if it doesnt charge then you can't bring it in the other room and rely on the battery to keep the unit working.
Parent unit did not work. Sound kept going in and out and the menu button did not work. Returned the unit and bought a Vtech in-store. It works great and was $10 cheaper.
