I have been using this for a few weeks now it works good and has a long cord.Hopefully its better than the Microsoft brand.I've been through maybe 2 or 3 of Microsoft headsets so far.
For the price it works good. I haven't had any problems with this headset and I had it for almost 3 weeks now. For a cheap headset it's worth the money.
When my Xbox 360 mic broke, I need a new mic that had better quality than a microsoft brand one. I heard that plantronics makes great microphones, but for the money, this exceeded all expectations. If you need a new xbox 360 mic, seriously consider this one.
Personally: I have been using this headset for over a month now, and the quality is still perfect. I can hear and talk to all of my friends in perfect quality, and the fit is highly adjustable and comfortable. Facts: - For the money, this is a much better microphone than the microsoft headset. - There is a very long cord that comes with ties to secure any unneeded cord. - Microphone does not have to be very close to the user's mouth at all; it is powerful. - Can also plug into phones easily to talk handsfree. - Extremely adjustable for all head sizes. - Very nice price to quality ratio, unlike expensive turtle beach headsets.
I bought this about 6 years ago... louder and clearer than stock headset, comfy but secure fit, used with my phone in a pinch, survived dropping my controller many many times. Last month I replaced the foam earpad and taped together the insulation that was starting to split into ribbons at the plug end, but everything works like new :) VERY SATISFIED!
Before i got this mic i had already gone through 3 cheap microsoft mics. I was mad and wanted to try a new mic. I saw this 1 for 12$ and thought ok its cheap and its got good reviews. I am realy glad i bought this because the sound qulity is so good. And i dont have scream into the mic for people to hear me when im talking. this mic is great and it blew my expectations. i am so happy about this buy. if you are looking to get a new mic for cheap that works good then this is the 1.
I"ve always purchased the slightly cheaper headphones for my son to play with xbox. We've been thru about 4 or 5 pairs over the past few years. They broke from taking them on and off, stepping on them, etc. The store was out of these cheaper ones so I went on line and came across these. My son says that he can hear better and that he doesn't have to scream for the others to hear him. Will definitely buy these again if need be.
My original XBox headset finally bit the dust, and I saw this one on Walmart's website at a great price. It is well constructed, great cord length and controls, great voice quality. The boom mic is meant to be adjusted and it does so without feeling flimsy. It could be somewhat louder, but most headsets are that way. If only they'd put in line battery powered amplifiers in them... But seriously this is a great value!
This headset works fine with average-better than average sound and clarity. The non adjustable boom is a negative, as you cant draw it closer to your mouth if needed. But for the money, its fine.
I've had this headset for about a year now and I haven't had many problems. Although sometimes the speaker that you hear from occasionally stops working. I've had it where my friends voice gets lower and lower until I can't hear him, but it started working again after i threw it at the wall. Overall I would recommend this because I have heard about many of the other ones only lasting for a couple of months and then completely breaking.
