I got this charger because i was tired of going threw 2 AA's almost every week. You do not need a rechargable battery pack, just rechargable batteries. Such a cool looking charger that fits in any room and very fast charges. Spend the extra money on this charger, It is worth it!
i bought this product for my younger brother for christmas. he was constantly buying AA batteries for his controllers! now he just charges them. the stand is small and modern lookng and its great for keeping the controllers in one place so you dont loss them! the only issue we had with it is it doesnt clearly state wether or not you need rechargable battries. i would assume so but when i read the directions it didnt say anyhting till you go to the troubleshooting section n then we just kind of assumed from what it said.
