These things are just too thick to be useful. They elevate your foot inside the shoe to a point your feet become cramped and your heel slips in and out of the shoe. Perhaps they would work well in boots, but when it comes to tennis shoes, these are not effective. I wore them a couple days, hoping they would 'smash down' after a while, but they still never felt right. I switched back to the 'air pillo' type insole.
I bought these for my husband. He has plantar faciitis and nerve damage in his feet, and has tried all kinds of orthotics and insoles. These had good reviews, to we had hoped they would perform. Sorry to say, they failed the Foot Pain test. They were too hard for him, and it would've taken too long of foot pain for him to wear them long enough to pound them into conforming to his shape. He just wasn't willing to endure that. I mean, the whole point was to alleviate, not add to, his foot pain. Duh! Sorry Dr Scholl, these are a no go.
They don't make the work boot insoles any more (those were great if you were on your feet all day and really lasted a long time), if you are looking for something like that, these are not it! I am walking on concrete or climbing ladders all day, and though these beat a blank, don't waste your money, buy the cheaper ones, they are just as good.
