Item is larger than what I need. Would prefer a smaller version but the smaller versions do not come with the security cable. The cable is well constucted. The key entry as well as code entry allows additional piece of mind in the event of a lost key or forgotten pass code.

Great product for the money. The locking mechanism and digital control seem a bit cheap and easy to break. But great for the price!

I bought this safe awile ago, The digital keypad works great and the key lock works great. If I tried hard enough I could break open this safe with my hands, The top close's over the sides of the box making it easy to pull open, The actuall lock is one very thin peice of metal in middle so not a very strong safe but.

Not what I expected

I bought this to keep medications and important papers safe. It worked for about 4 months, then the combination stopped working and the key wouldn't open it (I had tried the key when I first bout this and it did work then)! I had to use a screwdriver to pry the top open-which just popped up; Can't even tell it was pried open! Wouldn't recommend this product, especially if you are wanting to keep anything of value hidden away.

Terrible security

I got this safe in the hopes of using it to store my sidearm when not on duty. However, I quickly discovered that if you turn the knob hard enough, you can simply force it open. It is not a security safe - if you're trying to restrict access to low security items, it might work; but since it cannot be bolted down, and can be easily be forced open, I am hard pressed to even call it a safe. It's more a latching box.

I got the lock box and immediately had problems with the electronic mechanism. Sometimes it worked...sometimes it didn't. Ans then after about 3 months or so my roommate bumped into the coffee table it was sitting on and when it fell (less than 2 feet on to carpet) it broke open completely disabling its ability to lock with or without the key. I was there so I am sure of the circumstances. Worth $44.00+, not in my book. I would probably have been better off or at least as well off with a cheap sheet metal cash box and a 3 ring lock! I used it to keep my controlled medications in. In the end, I found they were just as safe in a shoe box!

JUNK!

This is the biggest piece of junk ever! I've now got all my personal paperwork inside a box that I just purchased a few months ago, and I can't get it open despite using the key and key pad. I followed one rater's advice and hit the box and it popped open, but after foolishly returning everything to it, I now can't get it to open at all. I guess I'll have to just rip the lid off. HUGE PIECE OF JUNK. Go buy something else!

WASTE OF MONEY

I have owned this product for about 4 months now. I treat it very well. It sits in my closet on a shelf. About 3 months after having it the Keypad shorts out. I push in my 4 digit code and it does not unlock. Instead the inidicator light starts having a blink attack. Then I have to hit it with my fist in order for it to work properly and then i type in my code again and it works. Plus, for some misterious magical reason my key no longer will turn the lock to manually open the safe. I use this safe every day. I am now waiting for the day when hitting my safe doesnt make it work right and I wont be able to get into my own safe. Then I will be the one breaking into it. Trust me, buy something else.
