When speaking of this bundle per se, I must say that it's an excellent collection of hardware, particularly the Hoefner bass, which is superior to all the other guitar-based controllers I've used. My issue from the start was the original $250 price tag, which was why I didn't pull the trigger until I saw it here discounted for less than half that amount. Bottom line, if you like music games, I recommend this, but I also urge you to hold out for the best possible price.
My kids and husband gave me the Beatles rockband for Mother's Day, and all I can say is....now I KNOW I should've been a rockstar!! That first night, we stayed up until nearly midnight playing songs and singing...I would've guessed it to be 7 or 8 oclock. The time (hours of it) had just slipped away while we played on, like some garage band practicing for a big gig----a 7 and 10 year old with their parents on a schoolnight! That tells you how engrossed we all were. We've played everyday since then, though now I know to keep an eye on the clock! My kids are learning the great music that I love, not solely the hip hop/rap that is shoved down their throats now by the media. It is a nice, nice supplement to their musical repertoires, shall we say. FANTASTIC product....we love it....and by the way, I am a huge Beatles fan and an accomplished pianist....and I don't find playing the "instruments" unchallenging or "too technical" to be enjoyed. Don't at all be afraid to buy this product for a traditional music-lover/musician.
I never played Rock band before but I really enjoyed this game. The graphics and songs are great and the whole family is having fun. The guitar and drums are of sturdy construction and put you in a beatles mood. Great fun!
We weren't sure exactly what to expect when we saw this product offered at $99 - you know what they say about something that looks too good to be true. But we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was as advertised and all 3 kids (11 and under) were able to play within minutes of it being set-up. My wife and I played as well and enjoyed it. The various level of difficulties, including a beginner's level, let everyone, even our 5-year old niece, play with some success. A great product at a great value!
the must have for a beetle fan never was able to buy due to price then it drop and i couldn't resit. its been alot of fun for the whole family. My only complaint is the drums the box looks better than the product its just a cheep sigh to set in front of the drums kinda chezzy.
I bought this for my sister and her husband and their three young boys (12, 10, 7). They,and all the uncles, aunts and cousins have been using it since Christmas at every spare minute. It is fun, funny and brings the entire family together, as it requires a few players at a time. The best performer is the 7 year old! A whole new generation being introduced to the best rock band ever. Brilliant.
This game is AWESOME!!!! I've been a huge Beatles fan since I was a kid, so I was particularly looking forward to playing it. I was especially jazzed about the fact that the pre-song dialog & everything was actually the Beatles from recording sessions. An added bonus to this is that I've not only gotten my kids (2 sons ages 9 & 4) hooked on playing this game, they've both gotten totally hooked on the Beatles. It has also helped my older son overcome his fear of singing in front of people!!
This is a fun game! And the fact that it comes with 2 different instruments and a microphone means that at least 3 people can play with this right out of the box. The fact that our son already had a guitar and an extra microphone means that there is a part for everyone! Lots of fun!
I bought this for my kids for Christmas. They loved playing and singing along and I enjoyed hearing the music I grew up with and emulated as a young person. The interfaces are responsive and I would recommend this especially if you want your children to actually move and learn instead of veg out with their mindless video games. The only problem I'm having is getting a replacement neck for the Beatle Bass that so easily broke in half when it got sat on! No advice or info on that yet. Very difficult to get in touch with manufacturer.
Beatles Rock Band is a lot of fun for the whole family. The instruments are well constructed. I think they are better quality than Guitar Hero. Rock band and guitar hero instruments are interchangeable and that is nice. Wal-mart was best priced, however I still believe all of these products are overpriced.
