This cable is a solid way to connect two components via USB that you can't get in the same spot. Just don't forget to measure from the two components to the floor!
I have the now defunct AT&T (truly) Unlimited Data Plan - not the current so-called Unlimited (5G). And, I tether my phone to access the Internet. I need to be able use my cell phone while tethered. My chair is 6-ft from the HTPC & HDTV. First, I bought the IOgear Mini USB Bluetooth Adapter, which does a great job - just too slow. So, I bought this extension cable with Male & Female ends. It was the perfect solution. I can now use my cell phone while watching NetFlix Instantly or Hulu. Tethering with the USB Extension Cable, speedtest.net results: 1.5-3.4 Mbps.
I wanted more room to fly my simulator. This extension gave me all I needed. I now fly sitting comfortably on my lounger rather than on the floor up close to the screen.
It works perfect and was as described. The best price ever. Radio S wanted $40 for same item. Just needed to move the printer a few feet and this did the job. Again, Walmart to the rescue.
What can I see its just a USB extension cable by Belkin trusted name and relibalbe products they make. As for price, other stores around want $10-20+ for the cable Walmart is selling for 4 and change
We used this cable to extend our wireless unit into the attic so that we could use a wireless mouse with our security system in another room. It worked Great!
Exactly what I needed. The price was phenomenal! 1/5th the price I would have paid at a retail store. Only thing I'm glad I bought the 10' and not the 16'. On the packaging it tells you that certain lengths are better for certain devices. Other than that Belkin makes a very good product.
This extension works fine for extending a keyboard or mouse. However, it will only transmit one-half to three-quarters of an amp to charge a cell phone or tablet. Many devices can draw up to two amps to charge their batteries. This USB extension is much better than nothing but note that if you use it with a tablet or smartphone it will take longer to charge than normal.
We need a USB cable that's "male to male" same size on both ends so we can connect to our GPS in our car to our computer! The picture looked like what we needed when we ordered, but one end was smaller than the other!
The paramount issue here is whether this is a "High-speed" USB 2.0 cable with transfer speed of 480 Mbit/s (60 MB/s) or whether this is a USB 1.0 "Low-Full Bandwidth" cable with tranfer speeds of only 1.5 Mbit/s (Low-Bandwidth) and 12 Mbit/s (Full-Bandwidth)?? One comment states with absolute certainty this is a USB 2.0 "High-speed" cable BUT . . . the package states a transfer rate of 12 Mbit/s which definitely makes it only a Full-Bandwidth USB 1.0 cable. Like most of the USB extension cables Walmart is selling here at a lowball price, most are only USB 1.0 Speed-Rated, BUYER BEWARE! USB 1.0 is a very ancient, extremely s-l-o-w, obsolete USB speed. This cable is only USB 1.0
