This bbq was better than I expected and really easy to set up and use! I have never bbqd by myself let alone put one together. The instructions were pretty straight forward, if you are patient and take your time. I have used both functionalities and love it!
I haven't been able to use this yet, due to the horrible Illinois weather however, it wasn't all that bad putting together. I thought it would take 24 hours, seriously, but it only took about 3. Looks great! Seems to be very heavy duty, which is very much needed due to all of the use it will get!
I Love this Grill! The conversion from gas to charcoal is easy and quick. The only criticism I have is that you can't lower the charcoal so you have to build a thin layer of charcoal to be able to put the grilling grates in so you can cook. The good news is that the charcoal stays VERY hot for a VERY long time. If you're not used to charcoal grilling, (I have exclusively used a gas grill for 30 years), be sure to build the fire at least an hour before you start grilling. Briquets might be easier to use than lump charcoal because some of the bigger chunks were too high to allow the grates to rest on the edges of the inside where they belog. Lighting the charcoal is easy because you just let the gas do it for you. LOVE IT!!!
Assembly was about 2 1/2 hours by myself a helping hand wound have cut down that time. Everything fit together as would call " close enough " . Busted only one mounting screw but I'll use a pop rivet. Gas runs on the Hot side even with all burners on low. Haven't used charcoal yet.
Beautiful grill did not receive a instructions manual had to looked it up online to build the grill also had some dents on a part missing screws but it a nice grill was a father day gift
FedEx beat the crap out of the box and delivery was late 2 days. We assembled the unit and then noticed numerous porcelain cracks and pop offs. some might think this cosmetic. But it will rust before it otherwise would. Many more photos I can't figure how to add.
the charcoal cooking area is deficient -- it appears that when brickets are used in the charcoal cooking mode - the cooking grates will touch or very nearly touch the brickets. That in my experience results in burnt food. Spent 40 minutes on phone with Char Broil customer service -- they now claim the wrong cooking grates were sent with the grill and are sending replacements. I am NOT hopeful based on the drawing CharBroil sent . If this doesn't remediate the problem, the grill will be returned. Also, the grill was damaged when I opened the damaged boxes(photos are available). CharBroil advised to send them a photo of the damages.
Piece is damaged. I'd like replacement of damaged piece.
Delivery damaged box was in shambles upon arrival and damaged product inside. Most notably, shelf inside was bent and doesn't sit properly within grill. There was a random address on the box crossed out. Might have been destined for a different address, but relocated to this shipment. Disappointing.
The package was damaged completely with damaged parts. I need to return it
