I reviewed the graphite version earlier. Wanted to see if I could save money and still get the quality support that one gives. The idea is to use the graphite in rough terrain, and to provide a cheaper support in paved areas and for my grands to use around town. This one fills the bill. It has the rocker shaped tip and (my favorite) that heavy spring inside the barrel for shock absorbing. I haven't tried any heavy stuff, but the aluminum seems okay for my town forays. The twist adjustment on the barrel sections holds fine. Handle feels identical.
I am a 70 year old grandmother, who, until recently, was active and agile. The years finally caught up with me and I was unable to continue my morning walks. My doctor suggested finding some walking sticks that matched my short stature and were light enough so that they would not tire me. These trekking sticks are lightweight, adjustable and comfortable. They can be used on a hard surface and in soil and rock. The only down side is that they are not sold as a pair as two are needed.
