These little cans are awesome! they are a little more expensive than I would like, but my cat just loves them. Any time my cat loves a can of food is the time to keep it stocked in my pet food cupboard.
i had a terminally ill cat and was seeking a cat food with a good nutritional value plus that tasted good.. I had tried the turkey and sweet potato variety and it was a complete flop with him and my other cats. this variety however is a winner all around. My sick kitty liked it and ate most of it, and my other kitties really liked it. so yes this is a winner in my book
Our 13 year old female yellow tabby had another bout of vomiting anything she ate and then would not eat at all. I went to Walmart that evening to try and find a food she might eat. I had never seen Pure balance before and decided to give it a try even though the price was rather high. When I opened the lid, little Miss Arianna came running and devoured every single bit I had put in the bowl. Then she wanted more, which I gave her. I watched carefully to see if she was going to keep the food down, which she did. Usually after a day or two of a new food, she would lose interest and I would go through the ritual of offering her about ten different canned and dry foods of which she would pick out a few morsels and then go and lay down. Now she is in the kitchen about every two hours looking for her Pure Balance Salmon. This has been going on for about seven days now and I hope and pray for her sake that her appetite will remain good. I will continue to purchase Pure Balance Salmon for her. Thank you Lord, and thank you Walmart for developing a decent cat food.
My "Old" cat loves this particular Pure Balance Chicken/Sweet Potato food So far he does not throw it up.
My cat loves n I like the ingredients. Unfortunately it's been repackaged and it is half ounce less. I buy 24 cups at a time which means I get about 3 less cups. Now it's in a tiny can.
All My cats love the Chicken & Turkey! Esp my Oldest who is a very picky eater. she loves the fact that it comes in chunks and only a little gravy the perfect balance and what makes it even better it that there is no meat by product. I just wish that Walmart would keep more in stock or I could order it online. I have 10 cats and this brand is only sold in Walmart. They run out a lot. My cat has a lot of food allergies and its not fun hunting all over town finding a substitute.
I've been on a mission to find a good quality wet food for my cat. I'm shocked that so many name brands have such horrible ingredients. I didn't expect to find anything at Walmart, but was in the pet section to buy a de-shedding tool, the Shed Monster (which works great BTY). I saw this "minimal ingredient" food, and checked the label. It looked better than a lot of them, so I got two. When I first put it down, my cat didn't eat it, even when I put a few bit of dry kibble on top. After awhile when she was perched in her spot to ask for food, I brought it up to her. She ate it all! (I always add a bit of water, since she has constipation issues because of her long fur.) I like that it has sweet potato in it, since my cat needs some fiber since I got her off dry food. I'm going to call the number on the package to find out where the ingredients are sourced and made, since it only says "distributed by Walmart". I don't want to feed her anything unless it comes from U.S. although there are a couple of foods made in "human grade" facilities in Thailand.
I purchased this for my cat who was terminally ill. He would not eat and i wanted to try to encourage him with a quality food. He absolutely would not eat this. I tried it on my other cats who are little piggys and they too didnt want this , and they will eat just about anything. i ended up giving this to my dogs who love cat food of any kind. it didnt go to waste, but my cats definately didnt want this particular one. i did try other varieties and the cat did like them.
I have been searching for a cat food that my cat would eat with no chicken in the ingredients, not even chicken fat. He is allergic to chicken and finicky to boot which has made the search not only difficult but expensive. I couldn't believe it when I saw this at Walmart of all places. The cost is very reasonable. My only problem is that it contains carrageenan which is a known carcinogen, otherwise I would give it 5 stars
This canned cat food smelled horrible when I opened the can. I placed some in a bowl and called the cat...she sniffed it, arched her back, hissed at it and walked away. She refused to eat it. I put down a bowl of her other food and she ate that other one. Sadly I had to throw this away...good thing I only bought one can to try out.
