I have used Dial soap for as long as I cam remember. It doesn't dry my skin out, has no scent and helps prevent sweat odor on hot days.
This soap has a very mild scent, which is great for me, as I can't do strong scents. It works just as advertised as a deodorant soap. It can be kind of drying though. I was glad to see it in a 3 pack, as 12 is too many.
They changed their formulas to "go vegan" and guess what? It's terrible. Judging by the vast majority of reviews, and my personal experience, IT DOES NOT PERFORM. It's leaving people itchy, rashy, and dry (me included). It smells terrible. It melts faster than any soap I've ever used. It is complete and utter garbage. I threw out twelve bars because I can't return them and I will not subject anyone else to this horror show of a "soap". They ruined what was an exemplary product. I hope the vegans love your soap, because clearly the rest of us are bailing on your inferior product. Why did you even bother with this gross scent? You could've gone straight to sandalwood for your new demographic. They still won't buy your terrible formula, btw.
After years of using Dial Pure and Natural, then Dial Basic unscented, Dial insists on making fragrance only bars. I can't even buy the white antibacterial without the scent level being inconsistent. One batch lingers on me and in the bathroom while another does not. Top that off with some bars being much softer than others leading to short use and what you have is either inconsistent manufacturing or poor quality control.
I can't return it. I did not want this. Walmart uses a third parties routinely and the third party won't take it back. Beware when you order online. You may get something you did not ask for and cannot return it and then you are charged. I'm glad this was a low dollar item. By the way, none of the bars of soap were in their original wrapper, so no way I would use it.
What happened to the white color and the nice smell!! This is terrible and the smell is terrible. Why are companies always changing something that works……
I opened a new 12-pack of the soap I have been using for over 50 years and what a shock. The soap is no longer white - it is light yellow and feels greasy to the touch when dry. And the scent! It smells absolutely rancid. Since I did not want to go to work smelling that way, I hunted up some soap slivers of the good old original Dial White Antibacterial soap that I had saved and used those.
have you noticed a difference in color, scent, lather and after shower feel? Clearly we aren't alone, If the there are no complaints other than from the loyal demographic of purchasers, why change the formula, or better yet, what not change back to the original. My concern now lies in what was wrong with the old recipe, is there a hidden danger we don't know about, or are the new ingredients cheaper and more profitable? Either way, I'm sad to say that I must go out in search of a new product after 20+ years of dedication. To whomever made the new formulation, thanks for nothing. Sincerely.
I've used Dial soap for over 50 years. I knew there were changes made so expected a difference but thought whatever, it's Dial, it'll be fine. But this soap was flat out AWFUL. Literally slimy, like a bar of coagulated motor oil. I mean it's seriously gross. It also left a slippery film on the bottom of the tub to slip and fall on :/ The smell was also awful and so over powering it scented our garbage can when we tossed the bar in it. Seriously guys, who's idea was this? Time to step out into the bar soap market and find another brand :/
We have always used dial antibacterial bar soap. It was recommended years ago by a physician it Worked great, but I agree with the below reviews something has changed! The soap is yellow and smells terrible! Will not purchase this anymore if it doesn't change. What happened dial? Will you be sending out reimbursement to consumers?
