This Caron One Pound yarn is my favorite acrylic yarn. I use it for afghans, mitts, scarves, baby stuff, you name it! It's much softer than Red Heart Super Saver, has better body and hand than Simply Soft and is a fabulous value. The color range is pretty good, too. I'm thrilled to be able to get this yarn thru Walmart.com, and I love the free shipping!
This yarn is a thicker than Red Heart Super Saver yarn. I love using this yarn when making hats. It is a wonderful value.
I love this thread. It is just the right texture a mix of cotton and acrylic although it says 100% acrylic and makes excellent hats, blankets, and booties.
I crochet several medium to large afghans a year and this is the best yarn ever. One pounders go further and many different colors to choose from, the price is good and ship to store yep that's good too. Some colors are a bit softer like Ocean, Azure, White and Sky Blue is a bit firmer but it holds it shape easily. Buy it!
I BOUGHT THIS YARN BECAUSE I LOVE THE TEXTURE OF THE YARN I AM MAKING SCARVES FOR CHRISTMAS GIFTS AND MY SCARVES ARE COMING OUT BEAUTIFUL AND THE YARN IS SOFT AND DURABLE AS WELL TOO.
I love this yarn. It's soft and you can knit without having to worry about having knots and crochet the tales in all the time. I to ordered the color blue to match my husband's Dodge Viper and was disappointed that the color I got was navy blue (midnight blue). Next time I will know better and go by the name, Royal blue, which is a true blue and not go by how the color looks on my pc.
when I received the yarn I was really surprised at the size you get in a pound of yarn. I was making a blanket for the winter and needed a neutral color to stitch together all the squares I made, so I saw this on special for $5. a pound and ordered 2 because I wasn't sure what I would get. well I was happy to see I ordered too much. so after stiching all of 72 squares together and putting the trim on all around the blanket, I still have enough to start another project. my only thing that kinda set me aside was the color in the picture looks alot more pinkish that the accuall color. hence the 4 stars, it's more like a light dull purple. just double check colors , and you'll be fine. It is 4 ply and very strong, washable and holds a tight stich nicely.
I love the yarn, I love working with it and for the price it's great. The only problem is they have changed the shade of the off white color since the last time I had bought this article. The off white that I ordered is much darker, more of an oatmeal color. I did have to change the design of the afghan I was crocheting to work this new "shade" in.
Image/pics may not be what you get. Image showed a multi-pack of Christmas yarn - red, white, green, and multi that was in fact, only a single pound of green. Had I realized that, I would have purchased elsewhere. Definitely not worth the price.
