This fryer is well worth the money. It holds a lot of oil, more then 2 of the large bottles of vegetable oil. Seems to be able to get to the desired frying temps, although I didn't test with a thermometer. I may next time. The outer shell is a little flimsy when the oil container isn't installed but is sturdy enough when all put together. One note for those buying is that if you are making onion rings with a wet batter don't put the uncooked rings into the basket first, just drop the basket and put the rings directly into the oil. Our first batch of onion rings stuck to the basket, but the second way worked better. Looking forward to using it for some fish later on. Should turn out well.
I ordered the fryer for some special occasion which demands daily 45 mins frying for the whole month. It arrived a day earlier, packing was good and when unpacked the fryer ever thing was perfect. I have been using it every day for almost two weeks so far perfect job and hope it will work for a long time. Thermostat works but didn't check if it cuts off at correct temp. At this price couldn't expect more. I will recommend this to any one who wants to buy fryer of this size.
I really like the way that this unit breaks down for easy cleaning. it is a simple fryer and that is good. i am more than happy with this purchase. it does fried chicken really well!
I got the fryer 2 days earler than expected. Used it worked perfict.
Good fryer I love the basket it is large and can fry alot of food at once. It takes a while to heat up and for some reason you have to have the timer turned on for the fryer to stay turned on but other than that it workes great for the money.
I found it tricky to use the timer has to be set before choosing desired temperature without the timer the oil won't heat up
APPEARANCE IS VERY NICE STAINLESS STEEL! BUT PRETTY THIN,PLUS SIDE OF THAT IS THAT IT IS LIGHTER IN WEIGHT. WE CAMP(CLASS C) SO LESS WEIGHT IS GOOD.
I have to say since I've gotten this is my family and I have been very creative, we don't use it just to make fried chicken but to make deep fried Oreos make homemade donuts.there's just so much we have made already this product is amazing I love the way that it easy clean.the timer feature is amazing.and heats up very quickly.for beginners like us it is a best buy.
It does a good job and I like the timer.The basket could have been a little deeper.
It Didn't work. Just glad I tried turning it on before putting any oil in it.. back to the store it went.
