Great ride! Kids love it!

We usually buy power wheels brand ride ons, so I wasn't sure how this one would work. I am very pleased to say it has exceeded my expectations. Two of us worked to put it together and it took about 45 minutes. It was fairly easy, the only complaint I have is with the instructions for the seats. They were somewhat unclear. We couldn't make the seats work with the small screws that came with it. We charged it all night and it was ready to go the next morning. My 4 year old loves it. He especially likes the sound effects. I was worried he might be too big for it, but it's perfect.

Man, this toy is by far the most fun ride-on toy we've ever had. We've got a convertible coupe and a unicorn that both go 2.5 mph, but we don't use them outside. This Jeep is high off the ground and has two speeds-- 2mph and 5 mph--and my kids from age 4-8 LOVE zooming around the yard and down the paved road on this. It can handle rough terrain, even some incline. We drove it through 2-4" grass, through uneven and bumpy areas, in tall weeds, on gravel (not sure how it would do on deep gravel, ours is pretty thin), asphalt, and concrete. Unlike our other car, which has 1 motor on one rear wheel, this Jeep has 2 motors--one on each rear tire, but even so, if a front wheel goes in a deep enough spot to lift a back tire off the ground a little, it won't move. I timed this Jeep going for 40 minutes before the battery died, with about 30 minutes of that on 2-4" grass and 10 minutes on asphalt/concrete, while being driven by about a 35-pound kid. You really get to see the full 5mph on asphalt/concrete, and my 4-year-old son kept pace for me riding down the road while I jogged, which has been an awesome unexpected perk of having the Jeep. He drove to a nearby construction site to look for excavators and met a construction worker. The Jeep makes yard work a lot more fun and actually easier for me, because my son has fun following me around the yard while I gather fallen sticks and dump them in the tail bed so he can drop them off at our fire pit. The locking hood opens to reveal a great spot to temporarily store my 32 oz smoothie cup when I'm finished drinking but still walking with him while he drives. This spot is where we store the charger, too, which is super convenient, and we ended up storing all of our ride-on toy chargers in here. We've used the Jeep for three days straight since the first day the battery was fully charged and haven't had any problems, but there are a couple things I don't like about it. It is very heavy, but that wouldn't dissuade me from buying it, it is just easier to bring it out of the elements with another adult if you have to move it up steps. It DOES fit through a standard doorway. I don't like that the door handles on the exterior aren't real. My kids just climb in the tail bed and hop into the seats. They don't even use the doors unless they are getting out, and my youngest can't push the door button on the inside hard enough to release the lock. As for some of the other things we like about it, the charging time is a little shorter than for our 6v toys--9-10 hours vs. 12 (or 18 for initial charge for some). The details are realistic, the sounds are great (2 engine sounds and a honk), and they even have volume control. I love that the 12v battery also powers the sounds, because our 6v coupe requires separate batteries in the steering wheel. This probably required less than an hour to assemble. I would say 15-20 minutes for pulling everything out and cutting open all the bags/zip ties and maybe 20-30 minutes to assemble. I saw a video on youtube that I watched once and then followed along and that sped assembly up wonderfully. I used heavy-duty kitchen scissors for the bags and zip ties, and needed 2 phillips head screwdrivers because my interchangeable one didn't fit in the holes on the doors to screw in the windows and I had to get a longer, thinner one. I briefly used an adjustable wrench on the nuts on the front axle.

My kids (ages 2 and 5) are loving this Jeep and I'm pleased with it too. Assembly was easy and the intrusions were simple to follow. This Jeep doesn't have a removable battery like most ride on toys and I'm still unsure how I feel about that though it all seems good so far. It just has a simple power adapter. The details on this jeep are great. Opening doors and tailgate, removable windows, and adjustable seat are all great. My kids love the horn and other sound effects. Overall I think it seems well made and hope it lasts awhile!

This jeep is just great. It was easy to assemble and start using it. My almost 4 years old kiddo absolutely loves it. He learned pretty quick how to make it work. It doesn't get fast enough which is great for a car toy!

The day this got dropped off, my husband loaded it in his jeep and they headed off to Moon Lake. My husband said assembly was easy and quick. Charging is simple, just plug it in. No fussing with removing a heavy battery like most vehicles we have. It is not very fast but fast enough for young kids. Had a bit of a time at lake considering the terrain but that was to be expected. Plenty of room for 2 small kids. I have some cute videos but I cannot figure out how to make them short enough to upload them.

Beauty on its own, Great and unique Jeep Ride On!!

JEEP GLADIATOR, This is a beauty on its own and so far so much excitement , each day and every day for kids with this unique looking ride on in the neighborhood. Glad to share our experience so far. First impression: - A very unique and impressive one, this '12v Ride On' this Jeep Gladiator is. - For ages 3 and up and under 100 lb total weights , this definitely stands as a first choice. - Very sturdy and safely made for the kid category - Awesomest ride on experience and ease of operation What is in there? - It comes with the single platform base and we just need to fix front and read tires, steering mechanism, wind shield, half doors and trunk doors and mirrors , charging adapter etc. -The Rubicon style Jeep Gladiator just shines and resembles the model on the road. - Its an eye feast buddy for on-lookers. - All parts are made sturdy and exact fit for click or screw - Once fully charged, the ride comes very decent and fun filled. - Runs at good pace on lawns and easier on flat surfaces. - Works out well as a real beast for the rough and tough style kids - The single foot pedal acts as accelerator when pressed with right foot and as break when released. - The mimicking dashboard is just a fun and has speed up and down buttons to engage. - The gear rod has forward and backward features for fun ride.. - Forward speed is 5mph Max and 2mph reversal - Easy to maneuver and heavy for overall safety and stability on even surfaces. Assembly: -There is a clear depiction of all parts and instructions to follow -It took almost 45 minutes ( a relaxed style with kids engaged all through the experience, would definitely encourage it ) Recommendations: - Ensure the instructions are carefully followed to fit in parts properly and tightens the small screws etc wherever mentioned. - Do not keep under wet conditions. - Always keep the vehicle in safe place when being charged not to be pulled away when the charging cable connected under the hood. - It is necessary to train kids about the usage multiple times before allowing them onto side walks on your street. - For the price it comes at, this lasts long and gives a very soothing experience for kids on their probably ' The first car'

Super fun ride on car

12V JEEP GLADIATOR was delivered in huge box and it was super heavy. I was excited to surprise my kids with this cool ride on car. The body of the Jeep and sticker was already assembled so that was a big plus and the rest of the assembly took my husband and I about an hour to put together as most parts just needed to be snap on and screwed in. I was amazed how nice it looked. The car has a power button, the seats had seat belts, the driver seat is adjustable, it made honking and engine sounds. It has only one pedal to move the car and stick shift to go forward, stop, and reverse, both doors opens and closes, side mirrors can be pushed in, the trunk door open and closes with ample space in the back to put toys. The steering wheels steers smoothly and it has nice big wheels. It has 2 speeds, slow (2mph) and fast (5mph) speed but even at low speeds it went pretty fast. We just tried it on the driveway and front lawn, the Jeep drove really nice. We charged the car as recommended, the kids drove on and off for about 2hrs without recharging. This Jeep is really nice but I did wish it had a break pedal which would make it easier for my kids to stop the car and the lights can actually light up. I also noticed it has a tight leg room for my 6 years old when she is on the driver seat but sits comfortably in the passenger seat. Overall very impressed and my kids love it!

Battery Problems
(4)
Reviewed in the USA on 2021-05-04T17:00:00

I was so thrilled to receive this Jeep for my twin boys who absolutely love riding in cars. We assembled this with really no problems. The manual says that the battery has been fully charged from the factory (which the battery was dead) nevertheless the battery must be charged for 9-10 hours before first use. Okay, that's hard for a child to understand when he sees his new car and wants to try it out immediately. So we charge the battery for 10 solid hours, meanwhile the battery continues to stay red so we don't know if it's actually charged all the way. We go let them drive it outside and the battery maybe lasts 30 minutes before it dies. We charge it again, it dies without using it very long. The children can't open the doors very well so they climb over. They can drive it easily with the petal. The steering wheel is easy to maneuver. I really like that it comes with seatbelts that the driver and passenger can wear. The little trunk gate opens and closes. The hood opens and it's where the battery is installed. I wish it had reverse lights that comes on when reversing. I also wish it had headlights. My children love this car very much and cry when they had to give it up to let it charge. That's the only negative, that the battery doesn't last long enough. We went and bought a new battery and it still doesn't run long. The speed the Jeep runs is 2mph on low setting, and 5mph on high. I like that it's not to fast that can cause an accident when they hit a random bush or tree.

This Jeep Gladiator took 2 hours to put together and there were some problems, but most were resolved. There were screws missing for one of the seats. The instructions could have been more detailed. The hood wouldn't line up at first and a little black piece broke off. The steering wheel and the front wheels... we had a hard time with the shaft that connects them together, but eventually we got it working properly. The clips need to be replaced on the hood since one is broken off. Once it was all put together and all problems were resolved, everything was great with the exception of the hood clips. Under the hood is where the battery goes. It comes fully charged and when you charge it, you charge it for 10 hours. When you hit the starter it makes realistic automobile sounds. The horn blows and on each side of the horn are buttons to push to make the realistic sounds. The doors don't open and the tailgate won't let down, but that's fine. The seats, there are two of them, have seat belts. The weight limit is 110 pounds. The buttons on the dash are pretty cool and there are two speeds. It goes 2 mph on low speed, 5 mph on high speed and 2 mph in reverse. It's really cool. I got this to give to my cousins little boy and he absolutely loves it. It's heavy duty and looks like it will last for awhile. I do recommend it to anyone seeking a ride on vehicle for ages 3+.

Nice but shuts off frequently

This Jeep looks nice and my kids like it but we had some issues with it that are disappointing. It wasn't too difficult to put together, my husband did it in an afternoon. None of the parts were missing or damaged. The screws came in little red bags attached to the foam wrapped around the individual parts. I wish the screws came all together in their own seperate bag or box instead because these bags were easy to miss and I had go back and dig thru the packaging to find all of the little bags. Driving it was easy for the kids. The radio is not real and the buttons on it are for power, high and low speed. They also control the volume. Instead of music, this Jeep has truck sound effects and a horn. The kids love the gear shift, and the working tailgate. I like the individual seats and the seatbelts. The doors do work but the handles on the outside don't work. The place to open them is kind of hidden and the kids cant reach over the door from the outside and open it. What they end up doing is climbing in over the doors or thru tailgate .It does look really nice. It goes great over the pavement and pretty well over our uneven lawn. We have had some trouble with the Jeep shutting off as the kids are driving it. The first day they drove it for a bit and the second day the issue started. It makes no difference whether it is on the lawn or the pavement, it shuts off every couple of minutes and you have to wait a couple seconds to turn it back on. We don't know why this is happening but it is bothersome. There don't seem to be any loose connections. I understand that it will shut off if there's too much weight in it, but it doesn't matter if 1 or both of my kids (3 and 4, in the 30-40 lbs range each) are in it. I have 3 sons and have owned several different ride on cars over the years. This is the first time I have had this issue with one, so I assume it is a problem with the one we have instead of all of them. If I didn't have this issue it would be great. The kids love this Jeep but it is frustrating when it keeps shutting off and if it had been a birthday or Christmas gift and it had this problem it would be very disappointing.
