[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this watering station. It's easy to keep clean unlike some I've had. When I want to wash the bowl just pop the jug off and done. It holds a good amount of water I fill about once or twice a week. My dog and the cats share. I feel great knowing their getting fresh water every time. So far no messes. It is great!
I use this for outside when it is hot. It gives a nice spot for my cat to be able to get something to drink when he doesn't want to come inside. It fits nicely on my porch.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an eight year old female dog that's roughly around 65 lbs so she is constantly drinking water. After setting this up and letting her try it out she seems very happy with her new water station. This is able to hold more than enough water for days and I don't have to repeatedly add water to her bowl so I decided to use regular tap water instead of filtered. One reason for that is you can get the carbon filter sold separately which gets rid of odor or that nasty taste which I know she would appreciate. The stainless steal bowl is removable and can be placed in the dish washer for easy cleaning. I don't mind that at all as that's one less chore for me. It's easy to tell when more water needs to be added as you can see through it and even after filled at it's heaviest it's very easy to move around. The top is wide making it easy to add water or monthly detail cleaning. I'm very happy with how easy this is to use and having fresh water available for days as well as blend in nicely with my kitchen.I highly recommend for any size dog!
Have had one for 17 years and there is nothing at any pet store that compares! Decided to get a new one even though the other one still works great!
Ours has been with us for many years but the rubber check valve is worn out. It's a little rubber gasket. Does anyone know where we can get a replacement little rubber gasket for this?
I have an english bulldog and a Pyr/Husky mix. With a bulldog it's hard to keep the dish clean. We've been using the large waterer for a week now and there are a few things I love about it so far: - size: good for multi dog homes - Water level in the bowl: the bowl keeps a lower water level. I immediately noticed less of a mess around the bowl. - The valve that releases the water is spring loaded so it doesn't make a mess in the fill/ flip process. If you've tried cheaper waterers you know what I'm talking about. I'm interested to see how this holds up over time, other reviewers have had issues. I'll update if that happens. - The stainless steel bowl comes out of the base for easy cleaning. I flip the jug and set it on the top side while cleaning without emptying it. We clean ours every few days and it's the easiest, and most mess free of all the waterers we've tried. This waterer so far has been great, and has the features that I haven't found in other products. I've spent an embarrassing amount of money trying to find the right dish and I think I finally found it!
i feel a bit ripped off... they top doesn't come off for filling.... the black rim part unscrews but you can't get the top off.... so you fill from the bottom and then flip it over to put it in the bowl - that was what i was trying to avoid. there is no way you can tell this by looking at the photo and they do not describe how you fill it.
I thought the top would open, but it didn't for water. My dogs didn't seem to like it because the bowl was too close to the bottle so when they were drinking the bottle was distracting them. I ended up ordering another one where the bowl was further out from the bottle and they seem to not mind drinking out of it.
Ordered product, it arrived and there was no metal bowl as descripted and in the pictures. Walmart service team was great and had another product shipped which delivered within two days but again there was no bowl with it. After two poor attempts to give us the product we gave up and asked for a refund.
be advised item came without a base I reordered we will see if it comes correct this time. I read this is a common occurrence. If you need a watering station for your pet might want to reconsider this item. will let you know about 2nd order.
