[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this watering station. It's easy to keep clean unlike some I've had. When I want to wash the bowl just pop the jug off and done. It holds a good amount of water I fill about once or twice a week. My dog and the cats share. I feel great knowing their getting fresh water every time. So far no messes. It is great!
I use this for outside when it is hot. It gives a nice spot for my cat to be able to get something to drink when he doesn't want to come inside. It fits nicely on my porch.
So far I'm really liking this with the 2-gallon reservoir. That much water stays cooler longer, and the opening for the water is large enough to be able to pour ice in if needed. I like that the container isn't white like the picture, but is translucent so you can see the level of the water; however, I don't know if that will be good in the long run as that can allow the sun to warm up the water and allow things to grow. There isn't a lot of pressure to push the fresh water down into the bowl, so if there is any slime or dirt in the bowl, it just stays there, but having a stainless bowl in the bottom is much better than the plastic! Got the big size for my big dogs, but need to elevate this - wish it had some sort of an add-on stand or taller bottom for it, as it is pretty much as shown - bowl right down near the ground only a few inches.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an eight year old female dog that's roughly around 65 lbs so she is constantly drinking water. After setting this up and letting her try it out she seems very happy with her new water station. This is able to hold more than enough water for days and I don't have to repeatedly add water to her bowl so I decided to use regular tap water instead of filtered. One reason for that is you can get the carbon filter sold separately which gets rid of odor or that nasty taste which I know she would appreciate. The stainless steal bowl is removable and can be placed in the dish washer for easy cleaning. I don't mind that at all as that's one less chore for me. It's easy to tell when more water needs to be added as you can see through it and even after filled at it's heaviest it's very easy to move around. The top is wide making it easy to add water or monthly detail cleaning. I'm very happy with how easy this is to use and having fresh water available for days as well as blend in nicely with my kitchen.I highly recommend for any size dog!
Holds a lot of water - super easy to clean - nice stainless steel bowl - no negatives with this waterer!
Ours has been with us for many years but the rubber check valve is worn out. It's a little rubber gasket. Does anyone know where we can get a replacement little rubber gasket for this?
the waterer works well. we have no mildew issues. my only problem is the lid that screws on with the spring on it leaks. no matter how well it is screwed on there is always a mess on my floor. even when the dogs have not touched it. it's like a little river flowing after about 15 min.
I have an english bulldog and a Pyr/Husky mix. With a bulldog it's hard to keep the dish clean. We've been using the large waterer for a week now and there are a few things I love about it so far: - size: good for multi dog homes - Water level in the bowl: the bowl keeps a lower water level. I immediately noticed less of a mess around the bowl. - The valve that releases the water is spring loaded so it doesn't make a mess in the fill/ flip process. If you've tried cheaper waterers you know what I'm talking about. I'm interested to see how this holds up over time, other reviewers have had issues. I'll update if that happens. - The stainless steel bowl comes out of the base for easy cleaning. I flip the jug and set it on the top side while cleaning without emptying it. We clean ours every few days and it's the easiest, and most mess free of all the waterers we've tried. This waterer so far has been great, and has the features that I haven't found in other products. I've spent an embarrassing amount of money trying to find the right dish and I think I finally found it!
Was missing in my shipment for the 2.5 gallons the basin is a stainless steel bowl that collects the water from the 2.5 gallons plastic, we did receive the 2.5 plastic water container, I am guessing who rever rushed in packaging to do even check to make the sure the order was completed in the order box, the box was in good is the shape, I paid for the whole Petsafe Healthy pet water station left wit nothing to the water in the Stainless steel bowl b, please forward another basin to Harry W.Schulz Jr 700 South Skyline Drive Carbondale, IL 62901 at your expense, not mine, I really was excited till open the box trying to figure out how to contact the right person to get this matter cleared so I can the Pet Safe Healthy Pet Water station to work without the stainless bowl is not sitting my garage unable to use properly I really the way the system works and my indoor therapy cats looked for the using it once is sit not able to do anything till we can get the stainless steel bowl, Yes did order 3 more of the 2.5 gallons received on time very please with all order from Walmart.com online service thank you your gracious times, please can positive matter taking care soon
