This unit is small but effective. It does a great job cooling a small to medium size room. It's very quiet and will fit inside any size window. I highly recommend this AC and it will continue to be enjoyed!
The a/c is used in a small den area but the space is open on one side. The room cooled off within 20 minutes I was pleasantly surprised. I have not had cold weather yet but I am hoping it works as well as the a/c does. It's very quiet also which is a big plus!! My old a/c was loud.
This window unit was used a backup for a friend. Her house is older and historic so when the Texas temperatures hit the triple digits the home had no air conditioning. This unit provided relief and comfort. The unit was easy to set up and the cool air was a relief. This is an excellent unit. Although serving as a backup can be used as the main supply of air if there is no central air-conditioning unit available.
This was shipped very well nicely packaged and no damage at all. It is 8000BTU and it is a bit heavy so I needed help putting it in the window but it works very well, it cooled the back end of my house very fast, it is not real quiet but not bad no worse than my 5000 BTU air conditioners. I would recommend this for sure if you want to cool any room fast. I only had it running for a two week period as it got cool finally so hoping come next summer after being stored for the winter it still runs well for next summer.
This is a handy little window AC unit. It is SMALL...very small. It's lightweight and fairly easy to carry up the steps to our upstairs bedroom that doesn't have central air conditioning (1820s stone house). This AC unit is only good for very small rooms. I would only use it in a 10 foot by 12 foot room. Our bedroom is larger so it doesn't do so great of a job but that's on us.
