Been using Fram for years and have never had a problem.
I've bought these for years. In my opinion the Purolator PureOne is the best oil filter for the normal daily driver but I just love the grip on the Fram Extra Guard. I have no concerns as to whether the filter is sufficient in getting the dirt because most oil filters are good for 7k-10k miles anyways. Does the job and is easy to change. No filter wrench needed.
PROS: It has a nice grip for hand tightening. CONS: I don't know... maybe you don't like orange. Do you like oil filters with cast aluminum baffles and a 12 gauge steel case? Fine, but what matters is the filter element. Ya'want 99% removal of 5 micron particles? OK, lots'a luck. (We're not talking about Formula 1 here.) How about a filter with magnets? If that's the case your engine needs more than a new oil filter. IMHO.
been using them forever. one of the best filters out there
I liked the product and ease of installation
I only use Fram filters on all my cars %26 trucks. I also save when purchased at Walmart.
I've used this brand for years and my truck has almost 170,000 miles on it and runs fine.
I have always liked Fram. But like any filter be sure the gasket comes off with the filter. I've only had a Fram gasket stick once and I made a real mess when I did not notice it did not come off with filter. This could happen with almost any filter.
This product that has been around forever and has been proven its dependability. As I'm sure there are others in comparison. Not all oil filters are the same. The old saying is? If it's not broke than why try to fix it. I will not substitute quality vs. price. And less expensive is not always the way to go. As people neglected to do oil changes ? So starts their problems/
Used oil on the filter, looked like it had been put on then returned. No inspection of return by Walmart, unacceptable.
